The lower door was inadvertently shut when the lower oven was on. The inner glass of the door shattered as a consequence. Can it be repaired or will I need a complete new door unit?
Hi Mike - I am happy to assist you. First, according to my research, the model number that you have provided me is appearing invalid according to the Electrolux database within the US. Are you located outside of the US? Generally speaking, for some units the complete door set would need to be replaced. However, may I please have the correct model number, to better address the issue at hand? Typically the serial tag is located in the storage drawer on the right side. Thank you and I look forward to your response.

Yes the inner door glass is a replaceable part and the door will have to be disasembled but not replaced. I can help with sourcing any parts for you since you used a premium post.

The inner glass panel is a part number 316117500
Anyone who services Frigidaire, and some others can get one for you. Here in the midwest I get lots of my parts from C.E. Sundberg Co., based in Chicago. They have this part on hand in Chicago, St. Louis Park (Minneapolis), Omaha, and Milwaukee, and will ship. Cost should be under $100. Even more info than you asked for, sounds like a FixYa, yes?

Unfortunatey, it happens quite frequently, there is no one reason for it to do so.
The only solution is to replace it.
Over a number of years use, the glass looses it's properties, and this is what can happen.

It will be difficult to find just the glass, have it shipped and fumble with getting it into those factory sealed doors. The entire door can be purchased for right about $50. Click here to see. There is not a picture associated with this item, but it is the correct part number.

Testimonial: "thanks"
Thank you for your post, Karen!
Typically the door of your Electrolux Icon wall oven has a lot of layers. Regrettably, this is not a simple DIY job. I would highly recommend reaching out to an expert technician to ensure the replacement part is installed correctly to prevent future issues. I hope this information helps to some degree. -Matt
