Ok try this for you to determine if your memory card is defective or not, try to insert your card to a device that support the type of memory card you have. Then if it still doesn't work i assume your memory card is defective. But if the memory will work try to insert other memory card on your camera for you to determine if your camera memory slot has a problem. If it is giving a memory card error, try formatting the card on your computer. If it is still giving errors, the memory card may have died.

If you haven't insert memory card then you have to have one. If you already insert a memory card and the notification shown, then you must transfer your pictures data from memory card to PC, then delete the pictures from your camera to make more space in memory card.

Remove your card and place it in the carrd reader of your PC. Now try to format and clean off the files. If it is not detected clean contacts and try if not the card can be defective.

Try inserting it without either adapter card.

I believe that camera takes a xd card.
Are you using a sd card?
Before inserting or removing a card, make sure the camera is OFF or the data may get corrupted.
After inserting, go to the settings in the camera and format the card. Then select the card as the memory rather than the internal memory.

According to the user manual - the maximum size of memory card it can support is up to 256MB only. However, many users claim that it can support up to 512MB.

my camara showing error message that clean card or format card,
i have some important photo in memory card so i can,t format the memory card.
while i am connecting with USB cable it,s showing syntex error

I would suggest the XD card is corrupt. You may be able to copy the recording off the machine by copy and paste in windows explorer. If not then they are lost. Data recovery will not work very as the files are recorded in dss format.

Only option is to format the card on the PC.

Try re-formatting the card.
