I Want to change my vista os to window xp for my laptop Hp Pavillion dv4 1240 tx.

    you will have to get windows xp disc then install it to your computer..

Yes. you can change vista os to window xp. but before the installation make sure does hp provide the driver all of those which your are going to use. for the driver detail log on www.hp.com.
once you make sure about the drivers , then arrange the XP bootable cd . and now try to install xp on your system.
