If you have a Laptop it's because Xp is not officially supported anymore, and the hardware venders are no longer writing drivers for the LCD screens. You would probably be able to find all the other drivers, but without the LCD drivers you would only get a Black screen.

I installed windows XP professional version 2002 but it doesn't have sound and I cann't get internet,my pc HP s3220n before hard drive damaged it was windows Vista, please help !!!

Hello,

You have to install the drivers into your computer. You can get the drivers for Windows XP in the website of your computer's manufacturer. Since you cannot connect to the internet using that computer, then you can use a different computer. Download the drivers and save them into a USB storage device. After downloading all drivers, install them in your computer.

If you want to make sure that all drivers perform well, then I suggest that you keep them updated. You can use RadarSync if you don't want to do all updating manually.

Hai,
Yea that's true Vista sucks.....XP best!
If you want to install completely with XP then as usual procedure format the system with your Windows XP CD(C:/ drive only, with FAT32 or NTFS).

How to dual boot Vista and XP (with Vista installed first) -- the step-by-step guide with screenshots

UPDATED | Got a Vista PC and want to install XP so you can dual-boot between them? Here's how to do it, in an easy, step-by-step format. Page 1 - Intro
media_1221353917454.jpg
Scenario: You want to install Vista on your PC alongside your XP installation, on the same drive. You have installed Vista already. (If you have XP installed first, check out our earlier tutorial on how to dual boot Vista and XP with XP installed first.)
Tutorial Summary: We need to shrink the Vista partition on the hard disk and create enough space for an installation of XP. This can be done in three ways - using the GPartEd Live CD, the DISKPART utility on the Vista DVD or the Vista Disk Management GUI - and we'll cover all three. We'll then install XP and install EasyBCD to reinstate the Vista bootloader which will be overwritten during the XP installation, and then use EasyBCD to configure Vista's bootloader to boot the XP partition.
Updated September 2008: This is an updated tutorial, based on our first Windows Vista/XP dual-booting workshop. The main differences are that we are now using Windows Vista SP1 and Windows XP SP3. EasyBCD has also been updated and this makes some of the steps in our first tutorial redundant - the whole process is now easier.
This tutorial has been tested on a VMWare 6 Workstation.

TARGA TRAVELLER 1591 TRYING TO DUAL BOOT ITS GOT VISTA I WANT TO INSTALL XP PRO BUT XP CANNOT SEE THE HD IT NEEDS THE DRIVERS. HOW DO I INSTALL THE DRIVERS FOR A SATA DRIVE INTO MY XP INSTALLATION CD

OK I managed to install XP on Targa Traveller on 1591!
With the CD of window XP it is necessary to make F6 for the starting up of the installation and to use a diskette with the pilots(drivers) SATA of NVidia nforce. Naturally the most practical are of incorporated the pilots(drivers) SATA into the CD Windows but I knew how to make;) link for the pilots(drivers) SATA:
If after the intallation of the pilots(drivers) at the beginning of the copies of file An error of copy of file (cann' t copy spin NVr dll) make Esc (65 files nvidia not copied) and continue the installation up to the restart.
I put out(switched off) the computer, removed the hard disk to put it in an external box usb on another computer I have to copy files dll to System32 or system32 / drivers, file .inf on file windows/inf and file .sys on system 32 or system32 / drivers
I restarted the computer and finished the installation links Pilots(Drivers) xp (I am not sure for Chipset drivers Chipset...you must verify)

Not possible xp installation

How to Downgrade Vista to XP Downgrading from Windows Vista to Windows XP is almost like installing Windows XP for the first time. You should take all the normal precautions like backing up all your important files and record important passwords in a different place, preferably on a CD. When you downgrade from Windows Vista to XP, note that Windows Vista will be completely removed from your system.
(Note: There is a way to have both Vista and XP in a dual boot configuration, but that's an option for more advanced users. See Dual Booting Vista and XP for more info on that.)
Before you begin the XP installation, make sure that the necessary XP hardware drivers are available, or included on the XP disk provided by your PC vendor. If in doubt, check the vendor's website or poke around with your favorite search engine to see if others have attempted the XP install on the same hardware. You may be able to install XP without all the needed drivers, but some hardware may not work afterwards.
Also, make sure that you have a genuine Windows XP CD before you begin the downgrade. Be sure to read the section earlier in this article to see if you qualify for a low/no cost XP recovery disk from your PC vendor. If not, perhaps you have an XP disc that came with another computer. If you've upgraded an existing computer from XP to Vista, the best choice would be the XP install/recovery disc that came with that computer. One some PC's the vendor doesn't ship a CD, but the recovery CD can be created from disk images on the hard drive. If all else fails, you can always buy a copy of Windows XP on Ebay. Just be sure it's a legal, licensed copy.
Follow these steps to install Windows XP on your Vista machine:
  • Insert your Windows XP install/recovery CD and restart your computer.
  • Install Windows XP normally, providing either the product key that came with the disk, or the one you got from Microsoft customer support. If the installer warns you that another copy of Windows is already installed, don't worry. Remember, this install will wipe out your existing Vista installation.
  • Activate your copy of Windows XP when it prompts you to do so. If you run into the "already activated" problem, you can use the option to activate by phone.
  • If you own Vista Business or Vista Ultimate, explain to the rep that you want to use your Downgrade Rights to install XP Pro.
  • If you own Vista Home Basic/Premium, or you are installing XP Home Edition, don't mention ANYTHING about Vista. Just give the rep your XP product key (not the Vista key), explain that you are installing XP on a new hard drive, and tell them you need to activate.
