Hi Just connected my All-in-One Brother MFC210 to my brand new VISTA laptop, and installed the appropriate drivers but for some reason Can't print from WORD or PDF's but I CAN print internet pages.
I`ve removed and re-installed the drivers, same effect, when I click on print the job queues up and for a second on the printer`s display it says ``receiving data`then the job disappears and no longer shows in the print queue, I am hoping a factory reset might fix this
Any suggestions are welcome....

Dear Sir/madam,
Try saving it as a RTF (rich text format) so that you shouldn't lose all the
formatting within the file, then opening the RTF and saving as a DOC.... or
saving the DOC in another Filename using File, Save As.
You have a few options:
1. Install the printer on the Vista machine and connect the XP machines to the printer on the Vista machines.
2. Upgrade the XP machines to Vista.
3. Make the printer a network printer so that PCs will use their own drivers and not a shared printer drivers.
4. By a seperate printer for the XP machines.
5. Copy the files to the XP machine and print them from XP PC.
6. Install new fonts on the XP PC.
7. Update the printer driver to use Potscript only and not PCL or other language.
Or else try tat

You might want to remove the cirrent driver and try again.

OK, you need to check your settings and make sure you have choosen the correct printer to be used...delete all other printers that you make have on the same page...get rid of them....they like to cause problems, best to delete. Just keep the Brother printer...I have an All-In-One....and I LOVE it, I had the same problem just 2 days ago, because I updated my Internet Explorer!!

Hi
Just set up new printer with the same name and set it as default printer. When it prints the test page, then it solves your problem. Delete the old printer icon.

You will need to either clean the pickup rollers , or order a service kit to replace them, if not the rollers then it will be a blockage along the paper path, try pushing some nice thick paper along the print path from various positions to see if you can clear it.
