Why my psps is slow

Is the PSP an older model? If so, its processor could be having trouble with the newer games. If this is an internet related problem, It is due to the fact the PSP has poor WIFI in the older models. Also for internet related problems, make sure that your PSP is connected to your Wireless Router rather than a PS3 system's internet because that can also cause the WIFI on the PSP to run slower.

Internet Connection could simply be poor. Check your Wireless Router. Hope this helps.

How do you get internet on a PSP?

Hi ana01,

Connecting your PSP to the internet is just like connecting your computer to a router. First to consider is having an access point. So what is an access point? Access point is your router. If you wanted to get started going online using your PSP I suggest trying the following steps below:

1. Just turn on your PSP as well as your WLAN/wiresless.

2. Use the left and right directional button to find "Network Setting".

3. Now look for "Infrastracture Mode".

4. Please select "New Connection" and name it.

5. Go to "WLAN Settings" then select "Scan".

6. Your PSP will now detect your router.

7. Navigate to "WLAN security setting". Just leave the option "NONE", If you dont have an encryption in your Router set up.

8. But if have an encryption in your Router. Then put your WEP or WPA security key.

9. Go to "Address Settings". Select "Easy".

10. Navigate to "Setting List". Check if your setting is correct.

11. Go to the next page then save your setting by pressing x. Then press x again once you get a message that says "Save Completed. Test Connection".

12. Next message would say "connecting to access point." The next should say "obtaining IP address".

You already established a connection and you can now browse the net using your PSP.

Hope it helps.

Thank you for using FixYa.

How do i connect my psp to my dsl internet

follow this steps:
Connect your DSL modem to your wireless router. Take an Ethernet cable and connect it from the "Out" port from the DSL modem into the "In" port of the wireless modem. Turn both the modem and router on and let them connect to each other.
Step

Turn on your Sony PSP by sliding the power button up until the PSP screen turns on. Navigate to the "Settings" part of the PSP menu. All of the settings are located on the left side of the PSP menu. At the bottom of the PSP settings menu is an option named "Network Settings." Select that.
Step

Select "Infrastructure Mode" and then "New Connection" from the next screen. Select the "Scan" option and your PSP will look for the nearest wireless connections. Select your router from the list. Your router will be the strongest signal available, and will match the name of the router manufacturer.
Step

Select "Easy" on the next page for the "Address Settings" and save the settings. Press the "X" button to test your connection, and you will connect to the access point. Press the "O" button to exit the settings menu. You are now connected to the Internet with your DSL modem.

How to connect a new psp to the internet

AOSS = Airstation One-touch Secure System

it's a propriatary solution from buffalo technology (www.buffalotech.com) for securely negotiating a wireless link to a base station.

experienced techies may say "big deal." true. but consider the layman who opens their new laptop and wants to link it to their wireless dsl router at home. WEP? AES? TKIP? huh?! enough alphabet soup to scare off the timid.

AOSS removes the user from having to know any of this. it automagically determines and configures the most secure connection. that older laptop that only supports WEP? no problem. AOSS configs the keys. that newer media station in the upstairs bedroom? AOSS will set up everything to use TKIP or AES.

NB- all this requires you have a buffalo tech AOSS wifi router AND a wireless adaptor driver that supports it too.

For connecting the PSP to internet you need a internet connection with wireless router

How to get internet on my psp

Look its not necessary get internet on ur psp. Its how to connect to the internet on the psp. You are gonna need a wireless internet network. Usually at food restaurants, or at ur house. Its not like you can connect the psp with a cable to the internet. Its all wireless hottie262477. To find wireless go all the way to your left on the psp and turn on the wifi button. Then go ur settings and all the way down to network settings. From there click on infracture mode. And scan for wireless hotspots. Of course any wireless one that says it needs a wep code. Means that it has a password and if you don't know the password you can't necessarily access it. So use the no password hotspots. Also remember its very easy to connect a wireless network in your house as long as u have high speed internet. Now that you this u can enjoy ur psp and play online and use the web browser. Good luck Diego :-)
