I have instructions for adding a name to a Norstar set. I believe this will add the name of a person to an extension number. These instructions call for the use of a Norstar Overlay Template. I am assuming that this template renames the buttons on the right of the phone. I have followed the instructions to a point where it says press "Show". At this point the buttons "Call Fwd.", Speed Dial" and "Line 1" are all lit up. Obviously one of these buttons is the "Show" button.
Does anyone know what these buttons would be if they had a Norstar Overlay Template on them? The receptionist phone is a Norstar Meridian M7324 but all the office phones are the M7310.

There isnt an exact way to add a signature at the end of the txt. In order to do so, you have to create a template with your signature, then insert the template at the end of your txt. However, know that it will count towards the 160 character limit. Instruction from the user manual (pg 38-39) below. Hope it helps!
Message templates When you often use the same phrases, you can save the message under template messages. Adding the message as a template
Press Menu > Messaging > Templates.
Press Options > Add New.
Write the frequently used message > Options > Save.
Sending a message with template
Press Menu > Messaging > Templates.
Select the message to send.
Edit the message > Options > Send.
note: You can add a template while writing message. Write a message > Options > Add Template. Choose Text or Multimedia and select the message to add.

If it is the second, press: - Feature * 0 and any button to find out what is on the button, look for an empty button or one that you want to overwrite, - then RLS, - press FEATURE * 2 - press the button where you want to add this new extension - dial the extension of the new person
As far as the name goes, I assume that it must be a watermark / overlay that is programmed into your printer driver. Go to the printer "properties" and go into "printing preferences" and select "custom settings", and check the watermark/ overlay settings. There are a couple of different drivers , so the location of this could vary slightly. As for programming Email? If you have some addresses programmed and working already? The easiest way to add more is to open a web browser and type your printer's ip address in the address bar, select "administrator Mode". The default user name is "admin". The default password is either "password", or just leave blank (can't remember which) select "address book", then you will see the names of the destination you have programmed. If you highlight one of them and select "change" you will be able to view the settings that need to be made. Then exit out of that page, and select "add" and input the information for the new destination. If you have not setr up scan to email, you will need to make many other settings in the web browser that I cannot go through, but it involves all of your TCP/IP settings, email settings such as user name, password, SMTP, POP, etc...etc. Hope this helps.
This is for an M7324. Place the programming overlay on the top 4 buttons of the phone. Press Feature **266344, Password: 266344 Terminals& Sets should be in the display. Looking at the overlay press Show, press Next until it shows the name or ext. that you want to change. Press the button under CHANGE in the display. Enter the new name (use the arrow over button to move to the next space). After you are done press Show and RLS. Update will appear in the display press the button to update the change.
