Trying to sync new music to my device and it wont let me put all the music on there. It also wont let me delete the new music it put on and let me start from the begining. I dont think it deleted all the old music because there is no way that there isnt enough room for the new music especially since there is less new music then old music.

Generally speaking, people will clean up their iPod with iTunes to erase the old songs and add new songs. iPod users have two ways to delete music from iPod with iTunes, and they can be helpful when iPod users want to get rid of the unwanted songs. iTunes provides automatic and manual methods to help iPod users manage the songs in their devices. When you are using the automatic way to manage iPod music, every time you connect iPod to computer with USB cable, your iPod will sync with iTunes Music library. If you have your iTunes Music library organized, you can delete unwanted music from iPod with this easy method. If you want to manually edit your iPod music, you can check Prevent iPods, iPhones and iPads from syncing automatically in iTunes by clicking Edit > Preferences > Devices. Then you can manually sync the songs and playlists to your iPod with iTunes.
Step 1: To Delete the songs you don't like from iTunes library: Launch iTunes > Click Music mark > Select My Music > List your music as Songs > Select the songs you don't like > Click Delete to remove them. Step 2: Connect your iPod to computer > Sync the music from your computer to iPod with iTunes
I understood that this is an Apple Ipod..and you are trying to connect it to a windows bassed computer ..so ..there is no driver for apple product in windows...the connection and sync is made by Itunes...Download and installl Itunes for windows..and after that when you wil connect the Ipod..this will be visible in the Itunes and will let you add music in the Itunes Library ..and after that ..click on the ipod..(by name or device ...will be in list ) ..and on its category ..choose audio ..and sync...in this moment it will sync the music from the Itunes library into the Ipod..and every time you will want to add new music..just add them into the library and after that when you press sync ..it will sync the music that is added...but remember ..there is the possibility that if you delete some tune from library ..when you sync and if it is not there anymore.it may delete it from the Ipod..or may restore it in the library ...It is a little more strange than the usually mp3 players ..but this is the only way to work with Apple in wondows..
i think the Iphone your using is already linked to another itunes library, so once you link to the current computers itunes library the song there after wont be deleted.
If you want to delete music from iPhone, you can take fully advantage of iTunes. After you purchased songs in iTunes Store on iPhone, your iTunes will also save the purchase history, so you don't have to worry about losing the purchased music files. When you connect iPhone to computer with USB cable, iTunes will launch automatically and recognize your iPhone. You can create a new playlist which contains only the music you need, and then sync it to your iPhone. By doing this, you can remove the unwanted music from iPhone.
Click the iPhone icon at the upper left corner.
Choose Music in the left sidebar.
Check Sync Music choose Selected playlists, artists, albums and genres.
Select the playlist which only contains the songs you need. Then click Sync.
If your just trying to get music on to your phone plug it in and pull up windows Media player on your computer. Go to rip and when it says to insert device on your phone go to my music and touch the sync option and let it to it's then you should be able to put music on that way
you should be able to go into itunes and delete the songs, then sync your iphone again.
If that doesn't help then I would go into the apple store and see why not.
you can also just call apple for support for free if you are an at&t subscriber
good luck
I think you may have some how deleted you itunes library file. It's default location is: C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\My Documents\My Music\iTunes\iTunes Library.itl the file is called "iTunes Library.itl" You can delete the whole itunes file but all of you music may be deleted. Good luck and i hope this somehow helps. Jaxon
I unchecked in the advanced sync setting the box to have windows media player create the drive hierarchy. Then I deleted all files on the player and did the sync again. This time only the mp3 files get written.
