Stuck on Loading Screen
This usually indicates that the software kernel on the micro sd memory card has become corrupted. It can also happen if the micro sd memory card is overloaded with games, music and video files etc. The solution is to reinstall the kernel software on the micro sd card and ensure the micro sd memory card is not overloaded. Leave about 25% memory free.
download SDformatter and format the sd card with that, place all the files on there, none in folders..
You may well be using a fake R4i card, and you probably updated the software on your
Nintendo DS and now it won't read it. This is normal for most clone
cards since they can't actually be updated to use Nintendo's latest
firmware.
The real R4i card has manufacturers website www.r4i-sdhc.com, NOWHERE
ELSE. Check yours to see if it is this website. If it isn't, and you
need a genuine one in the US/Canada, use DSCardWorld.com who are a preferred seller of the authentic ones. They also list NDS-Gear.com but I think they mainly do UK/European orders.
Good luck! Please upvote my answer if I've been helpful :-) Sorry about the possible bad news! :-(
Sounds like you have the wrong firmware on the R4 card. I had a similar problem when I swapped cards with my granddaughter. I had the "R4 Revolution....etc" card and she had a "R4 Upgrade Revolution....etc". They look the same but un beknown to me they need different firmware!!
A loading screen freeze usually means that there's the wrong version of the software installed. You have to make sure it was made for your specific model of R4, and there are a few out there like the R4 SDHC.
You need to put the correct software onto the card otherwise there's nothing for the r4 to load.
There's a great tutorial to set it up on http://www.dscardworld.com with pictures and links to all the official software on their support page. And I noticed they made a video about it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QV4sNQf2uS4
But they might not have your exact card model's software. If you check the packaging of your flash card there should be a manufacturer's website on it that will have the latest official software for your particular flash card. Or you can check the list of R4 card types here for their manufacturer's websites http://www.r4dsrevolution.co.uk
Do you have the R4i SDHC? It should have come in a red box. I bought my iEdge from dscardworld and on their download page they have the latest software for R4i SDHC.
How did you go solving the problem. I had a similar problem when a friend of mine gave me a cdrom version of the software that fixed the problem up straight away. The only problem is it is about 80meg in size. If you know a way of me sending it to you I am more than happy to do so.
Stuck at the “MENU” screen after loading DSi. No firmware or wrong firmware was installed in the SD card. Please refer to the instruction to install R4i‐SDHC to the SD card. The instruction can be found at the R4i‐SDHC official web site www.r4i-sdhc.com.
