My Samsung galaxy prevail suddenly reads and wont accept a charge. Im using the original "samsung" home charger. A small yellow triangle with a smaller image of a battery crossed out and appears within the charging battery symbol. before my phone was completly dead as a plugged the charger to the phone an immediate message appeared reading " cannot charge . not proper charger..: see manual: . using the correct charging system the phone came with... HELP !!! NOW IF THIS IS A PROBLEM THAT CANNOT BE HANDLED WITH SIMPLE STEPS FOR THE CONSUMER /SELF. IT WILL BE THE 3rd "SAMSUNG GALAXY PREVAIL/BOOST MOBILE THAT ALL REQUIRED THE ACTIONS OFSENDING THE PHONE BACK TO THE BOOST MOBILE INSURANCE COVERAGE PLAN. MY DEDUCTIBLE IS 65$. SO FAR iVE BEEN OUT OF POCKET FOR THE AMOUNT OF $130 DOLLARS. IN LESS THAN 1 YEAR.... WHAT THE H @ l l...SAMSUNG ?

How do you fix your phone if it wont charge? All you need to do is shut down your device, remove the battery if possible and use something small, such as a toothpick, to 'lever up' the little tab inside the USB port on your smartphone or tablet. Do so very carefully and gently, then reinsert your battery and plug it in again.

1) You have corrosion in the charging port and it is shorting it out. Remove battery and clean inside port hole with alcohol and a long bristle brush.

2) The charging port needs to me resoldered. That is a daily repair for my shop. the TWO OUTTER pins are the ones that do the charging the middle are for USB. Just reflow the solder, sometimes they have a crack in them where they bend down to solder into the board. in that case you will have to use a super fine wire to jump the pins where they are broken and solder them to the board. Not for everyone and you need magnification super small iron and flux to relow the solder. never add solder just reflow it with flux. i charger $25 in my shop.

i have the galaxy prevail and it had been to where it wouldn't charge at all then i thought i had fixed the problem because it charged last night but tonight its not wanting to charge at all and im using the same cord and i have tried 4 different cords and none of them charged it
can anyone suggest something that'll help?
