Using your cable box connect the audio and video outputs to the tv via the RCA inputs1, 2, 3, or component inputs on the tv and then select the coresponding video input to view your cable. If you do not have a cable box you can connect your cable to the antenna A or B input jack on the back of the set and set the tv input to antenna

When using this type of adapter you only feed video into the TV/monitor
you have to use a separate set of RCA audio wires to feed the audio into your tv.

I would suggest to leave your directtv hd/dvr box connected the way It is.
The HD Colorstream 1input on your TV should work just fine.
This TV does not have an HDMI input but you can buy an adapter and connect to DVI/HDCP IN and that might be able to get 1080i video resolution on your TV.

Direct satalite failure

If the tv works and its just the sattelite portion of the tv that doesn't work you can alway just use a new sattelite box and connect it to the tv via the rear inputs on the tv and then just select the coresponding input to view the sattelite chanels.

Hd hook up for rca 52"dlp

If you have Direct TV HD the best way is to use a HDMI to DVI cable. If you only have the component (red/green/blue)connectors on the Direct TV Box that would be the best way. You will not have audio using the DVI cable, so you will have to run Red/White cable to the Audio Input.

Rca..model f38310

My set just recently went throgh the same problem. I found a bad connection on the power board and a burned diode as well. I repaired the conneciton but have had no luck getting the specs on the burned diode. RCA has been no help.
As for cost of repair, on serviceman quoted $50 just to come take a look.

Tv antenna

Press menu on the remote. Press the cursor up or down button untill the word CC is highlighted. Press the cursor right button to select Closed Caption 1. You will likely have to do this with the original remote. A universal remote may not allow you to do this.
