1999 Yamaha wave runner 1200 XL won't start

Can't get my yamaha 1200 xl wave runner to start. It initially started right up ran around lake then it sat for about 15 min now won't run only the start button lights up. tried new battery and the engine was rebuilt last spring ideas?

Check to see if you get power to the starter when you try and start it. If you do, they you may have a bad starter. If not then you may have a bad switch or even blown fuse.

You need to start at the simple stuff. Check the spark plugs and see if they are wet with gas. If not, could be a fuel pump issue. See if the plugs are fouled, change them and check for spark. If you have both, it should at least sputter. Check for water in the fuel.

1999 Yamaha 1200GP Wave Runner wont' start. It has sat for about 2 years. I have new battery, new plugs and new gas, it turns over but won't start, any suggestions?
Sounds like the carbs are gummed up from the old gas sitting in them. Remove the carbs, disassemble, clean with a carb cleaner, and reassemble.

first put a new battery in it. then put your lanyard in the handle bar clip push the start button make sure that you have a life jacket on when your in the water and make sure that u attach the lanyard to your wrist or life jacket
