Sorry but You Don't.

Imagine taking a small Jpeg photo and blowing it up to Billboard size. It will be pixelized and dull.

Same with HDTV's. You can upconvert and adjust til your eyes turn blue, but you cannot take a Standard Def signal and make it look better by showing it on an HDTV. Some Standard Def material is better than others but ultimately what you see is what you get

The Picture on my HD-52G886 Model is really kind of dark I can still see the picture and sound is fine but a little to Dark when I try to brighten it then its really dull white.

Changing the contrast will also help brighten your screen. For best results, try changing the contrast and the brightness, to find the perfect combination for your needs.

The tv i own: Panasonic TX-32LX77 LCD Monitor (TX32LX77) . i want to know if this is HD. if i hook up the tatasky HD box, will i get a full HD output? thnx

The TX-32LX77 is an HD TV but only has 720p (1366 x 768) resolution. Full HD is 1080p. (SD is 480i.)

I wish that I had better news.

(It's possible that you won't notice the resolution difference; small screens don't always need the full 1080 lines of pixels from top to bottom of the screen to give a crisp picture.)

TV is nearly 7 yrs old, seems the HD picture is not as clear as it used to be. Is it just me or is something wearing out.

You have glasses, put it on?Tries come close to the tv.Tries few channels that play in HD modes 1080p is it clear. If picture dull slightly fuzzy, the LCD picture screen is getting old in age that all.

Blurry picture

In the store they use an HD source and connection. Is your cable box HD? It will have component or hdmi connections if it is.You have use either one to get HD everything else will be SD(standard def). And you have to be on an HD channel.Digital cable refers to how the signal is delivered doesn't mean its HD. SD channels on digital still look bad..

Picture out of focus at times

Firstly, to get a "Shop" standard picture, you need to have a true HD feed. Usually a demo disc filmed in HD at 1080p, played on a true HD system at 1080p into your TV. Most broadcast feeds at present are on 720p.

However, you can improve the picture significantly just by changing a few settings on the TV:

Contrast: Change to about 65% of maximum. Too much
contrast gives a blurry / grainy image.
Sharpness: Change to about 20% of maximum

Also turn of any dynamic or digital contrast settings on the TV (if it has them)

Looks blurry, wanting a clear & crisp picture.

In the picture settings, you can choose between hdtv and standard t.v.. That should work for you because not all channels broadcast in the hdtv signal.
