Installation instructions and manual

We are trying to replace a GE JKP27 g0j4bg built in double oven. An appliance retailer told us to get the "cut out" size for the existing GE so we will know what new oven will fit. Where can we find the installation instructions or something that will give us the cut out size for this oven?

Most of the installation manuals for GE appliances are available on their support page: http://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/literature.htm . I found several double wall oven models with the JKP27 designation. However, the G0J4BG does not fit as part of the model number. There should be 4 letters after JKP27 in the model number. These letters primarily indicate the color of the exterior. For the JKP27 models, the installation manual says that the cut-out should be 32 1/2" above the floor. The depth has to be 23 1/2". The cutout width should be between 25" and 25 1/4" (these are an absolute minimum and maximum). The cutout height should be between 27 5/8" and 28 1/8".

The direct link to installation manual for one of these ovens is here: http://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=003675840.PDF . See page 6 for the cut-out dimensions.

I hope this helps.

SOURCE: replacement for built in oven/microwave

Hello tippett_631

Welcome to fixya,

You said, ,
22 years ago you built the house you are currently living in. The above oven/microwave oven was built in. You are interested in replacing this unit with a new unit but it must be the same size. ? by the way i You would be happy with a double oven versus the microwave/oven duo. You have measured across the front of the unit and it only measures 26" across. Any assistance you could give us would be greatly appreciated.

I can help you!
The front is 26 inches.
And how high is it from the top to bottom?
Also when I sell a wall oven I always send out the installer to check the hole or cutout size.
Most of the time no wall oven fits with out at least one cut!
Do you have any room to cut a little on all sides?
What is your model number now. And what color do you want now??
I will send you some GE wall oven models and sizes so you can check your self if it will fit. usually they have to cut at least one side to fit it in the old hole!

SOURCE: installing ge profile double oven

You must use a three-wire, single-phase A.C.
208Y/120 Volt or 240/120 Volt, 60 hertz
electrical system. If you connect to aluminum
wiring, properly installed connectors approved
for use with aluminum wiring must be used.

That means that you ned a double 40 amp breaker.

Good Luck

Ya either have a stuck keypad or a bad oven control. To see what it is you push the clear/off pad, disconnect the ribbon from the control and wait 32 seconds, to see if the if the F-7 code occurs again, If it don't then bad keypad, if it does then bad control.

To unlock the control, press the Hour and Min - pads or the 9 and 0 pads (depending on model) at the same time for 3 seconds until the display shows LOC OFF.
Else, try pushing the 6 and 8 numbers at the same time on the control board, this should reset the machine.
If it still doesn't work, try pressing the Bake and Broil Hi/Lo pads at the same time and holding for 3 seconds.
If it still displays LOC REF, contact GE as there may be a problem with your oven:

Ge oven jkp27 code f5

Hello Donald,

The F5 error code means that the control board has detecteda error within it self and theirfore the control(also called clock or EOC) needs to be replaced. The F5 error code can be cleared by pushing the cancel/off button and if it returns a short time later their is defiently a malfunction inside of the clock and it would need to be replaced.

GE model # jkp27 error code F1 what should I do?

Hi ssantillo,

Usually F1 error code means that either the touch pad or the oven control (also called clock or ERC) is defective and needs to be replaced. If this fault code cannot be cancelled, replace the oven control (also called clock or ERC), touch pad, or both.

Hope this helps.

Need wiring diagram for part number WB27T10276 for ge oven model JRS04BW3BB

For anyone installing a replacement oven controller #WB27T10276, there is a GE publication # 31-10515 that should answer your questions. I bought a rebuilt control that did not have this info. with it. Lucky for me, a retail appliance parts store opened a box with a new control in it and copied the instructions for me.

Error code F7 keeps coming up, what does this mean?

F1 error and beeping. Don't bother getting GE out there. Cost me $90 to learn they don't make the clock. WOuld have been $500+ for the control panel anyway. Better off just buying a new one. Planned obsolescence I guess. I won't buy GE again.

GE JKP27WP1 Built-In Double oven - the start button on the touch pad doesn't work. Everything else works fine. Haven't received an error code.

Try gaining access to the touch pad and, try to free up the start button. if this is unsuccessful, replace the touch pad.

GE JKP27WP1 Oven Won't Work

Hi Cyrep,

You can fix a suggested fix at the following link:

www.fixya.com/howto/h155060-dreaded_f7_error

Even though you are not getting an error message, they are sometime stored in memory and have to be repeated a number of times before they show up in the display. I have shared this fix with over 1300 folks and most report success. I hope that it works for you too. Please let me know at [email protected].

Regards,

Charlie
