SOURCE: Yahoo mail login errors

It is pssible to get to your mail by changing your account to Yahoo Classic. To do this you will need to go to Yahoo's home page and click on the 'Mail' link. When the "Error" 1st message comes up click OK. When the 2nd messgae appears move the "Error" message over the "having trouble loggin on" message located in the top right of the of the screen. Locate the OK button over this message. Very quickly, and I mean rapid, click the OK button twice. You may need to do this several times to time it right - it took me three times, When Yahoo's solutions appear just click in the Classic option. I am now back in touch witth the world and although it hasn't resolved Yahoo's problem yoou will, at long last be in touch. I'm not claiming to be a problem solver, I found this in Yahoo's answers.

Hope this resolves your problem. Good Luck

SOURCE: my mail to yahoo addresses is sent back undelivered

Welcome to FixYa,

This is a major problem faced by many users, AFA I Know the Reason is that the time on the sending machine was wrong – it was set Some time before in the future. It seems Yahoo won’t accept mail sent from the future, so if you are getting similar rejection messages check your system clock.

I hope this will help you out, IF not then you better Contact yahoo help and report this issue, because there are equal possibilities that there is some malfunctioning on the server side.

If you think I was of help, your token of appreciation in the form of rating will be esteemed.

Testimonial: "Excellent, your solution was simple but not one that would have occurred to me. Thank you very much"

Hi,

This is a known issue with the New Version Yahoo Mail. Asa workaround to this problem, you can switch to the older version of Yahoo Mail (Yahoo Mail Classic)

To switch to Yahoo! Mail Classic (Old Yahoo), on your Yahoo Mail page click the Options link in the upper right corner between Help and Mobile, then click the Switch to Yahoo! Mail Classic link.

A dialog box might appear asking for feedback. If it does, click Switch to Yahoo! Mail Classic.

At home, have been unable to connect to Yahoo email. Here, emails sent to Yahoo email are getting a cannot send error. ----- Transcript of session follows ----- ... Deferred Warning: message still...

Please make sure that you've entered your Yahoo! Mail address as the "From" address in your email client. You won't be able to send mail if you've entered another address.

If you have the Norton AntiVirus email feature enabled, you might have to do additional configuration to use Outlook or Outlook Express. For more information, please visit the Symantec web site.

If you've tried the above steps and continue to have problems, your ISP might not allow its users to send messages with other companies' SMTP outgoing mail servers.

If you're unable to send email, try using port 587 when sending via Yahoo!'s SMTP server. Here's how to make this change in Outlook:

1.From the "Tools" menu, select "Accounts."
2.Select your Yahoo! POP account and click the "Properties" button.
3.Click the "Advanced" tab.
4.Next to "Outgoing server (SMTP"), change port 25 to 587.
5.Click "Apply." Then click "OK" and "Close." Source(s): http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/ya…

Hi There, In the US, getting my yahoo email (using Mail program on a MacBookPro) (yes I have yahoo plus) works like a charm. But here in Canada, most of the time, the password gets rejected... what's give?

To set up access to a free Yahoo! Mail account in Mac OS X Mail:

* Install MacFreePOPs and make sure the freepopsd service is running.
* Select Mail | Preferences... from the menu in Mac OS X Mail.
* Go to the Accounts category.
* Click + at the bottom of the Accounts list.
* Type your name under Full Name:.
* Enter your full Yahoo! Mail address (e.g. "[email protected]") under Email Address:.
* Type your Yahoo! Mail password under Password:.
* Make sure Automatically set up account is not checked.
* Click Continue.
* Make sure POP is selected under Account Type:.
* Enter "Yahoo! Mail" under Account Description:.
* Enter "localhost" (without the quotation marks) under Incoming Mail Server:.
o If you run into problems using "localhost", try "127.0.0.1".
* Type your full Yahoo! Mail address ("[email protected]", for example) under User Name:.
o Mac OS X Mail probably has already entered your user name, and it's enough to append "@yahoo.com" to complete the address.
* Click Continue.
* Click Continue again, ignoring the error. We'll take care of that in a bit.
* Make sure Password is selected under Authentication:.
* Leave Use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) unchecked.
* Click Continue.
* Select an existing mail server to send mail under Outgoing Mail Server:.
o You cannot send mail through MacFreePOPs. If you have no outgoing mail server through your ISP, you can use a Gmail or AIM Mail account's.
* Click Continue.
* Now click Create.
* Highlight the Yahoo! Mail account in the Accounts list.
* Go to the Advanced tab.
* Enter "2000" (not including the quotation marks) under Port:.
* Close the Accounts window.
* Click Save.

I cant receive my emails

You can't receive emails? You need to give more information. Are you using a Web mail (i.e. Yahoo mail, Gmail) or are you using an e-mail client (i.e. Outlook 2003/2007; Outlook Express)?

Email clients uses two types of account, POP3 and IMAP.

If you are using an e-mail client like Outlook 2003, you need to change the incoming mail server. Please follow the steps below:

For Outlook 2003/2007:

1. Open your Outlook and then click on Tools.
2. Go to Accounts or Email Accounts.
3. Go to Mail tab and you will see the account that you have created (like pop.gmail.com or imap.gmail.com)
4. Double-click on pop or imap account and then go to Advanced tab.
5. You will see the Incoming Mail server.

By default, the incoming mail server is set to 110, you may change it to 995 and then select SSL. Then close and reopen your Outlook and click the Send/Receive button.

Now, if you're just using a Web e-mail like Gmail or Yahoo mail, you need to check your storage. There's a possibility that you reached the quota storage of your email that's why you are not receiving emails. You need to contact your email provider for this problem.

If you have a router on your network, you need to check the router settings and perform a Port Forwarding. You have to open the port 110 or 995 so that you could receive e-mails.

These are the things that you need to check and consider.

Have a great day!
