Hi Guys,
I have an older Denon AVR-1500 receiver that wont turn on anymore. When you hit the power you can hear the unit click on but only the red led on the front starts blinking.. thats it..
I popped the cover to see if I could locate any damage inside and it looks like one of the Mosfets(I beleive thats what these are) attached to the heatsink looks cooked.. And there are two much smaller 3 wire (Sensors?) that also look pretty cooked.
Is there a way to tell what the problem is? Can i ''disconnect'' those components and see if the unit powers up?? Perhaps maybe with one less channel than before?
That would be better than nothing, especially if its like the center channel or somehting.
Thanks!!
UNPLUG IT!!!!!!!!!! Open the cover, and replace the fuse nearest the Transformer, when this is removed, or blows the receiver appears to go into "standby". Exactly what happened to my AVR-1400. 99 cents for a multiple pack at Radio Shack, and your receiver will work like new. Make sure you match the old one EXACTLY.
Hi, I have a Denon arv1500 with a bad tuner. If you can't get yours fixed, would you be interested in selling it--I'd use it for parts.
If you still have it, and would be willing to sell it, let me know! [email protected]
