Someone will need to check the key switch and figure out what is not getting power. Could be the key switch or a relay.

When you put the jumper cables on, put the key in the drivers door lock and unlock the door to deactivate the factory alarm.

SOURCE: 95 F150 wont crank

the starter should be replaced. The solenoid is kikcing the pinion out but there is no contact being made to turn the starter motor. I have the exact same truck and before i changed the starter used the old starter tap trick. Tap the starter casing with a hammer and it should start turning again. hope this was helpful for you. Good luck.

Ford 1997 f150.4.6 auto won't start help ?

If you jump battery positive to solenoid terminal s the starter should kick in and crank, if not run a separate ground from battery negative to solenoid base if nothing changes check the neutral safety switch with a test light (not a voltmeter). I hope this helps. Take Care.

It wont start. battery is new, has full volt. when i turn the key to start it just clicks and all dash lights dim,but when i jump start it it starts right away and will stay running for hours

The battery is not being charged and is depleted. The clicking you hear is the starter solenoid engaging. Your charging voltage should be around 14.1 volts. Check for that when you have the car running. If it is closer to 12 volts that is the nominal battery voltage and your alternator needs to be replaced! Especially important if you have a new battery since lead acid batteries do not like being in a discharged condition; it shortens their life considerably.

Starts up fine sometimes, other times it wont start up with a jump. Fuel pump replaced last year, new starter, battery and alternator.....

Sounds as if the p[roblem may be the solenoid. ONe way to check is when you have this problem, use a wire to jump the solenoid. The solenoid will be on the passenger fender under the hood. You will need to use the wire to jump from the small gauge wire to the battery wire on the right side of the solenoid. Be sure the vehicle is in park and the hand brake on, leave the key in the run position, then try it. If the problem is the solenoid, by jumping using this wire, the vehicle will start. Good Luck.

95 jeep cherokee country 6 cyl auto. wont crank all the time

Bad solenoid i would guess. Not making a connection there. Any basic wiring and ignition switch problems should be alleviated by jumping the starter with a screwdriver. I would check the solenoid and starter brushes

It wont start....i can jump accros the solenoid and it starts but wont stay running, i suspect the security system is the problem but need to kmow how to correct it.

the most common problem with this style pass key system is broken wires at the lock cylinder which will require replacement of the lock cylinder

Starting problems

Sounds like your battery has gone south. If you can jump it to start and it continues to run then it is just running off the alternator. The battery can no longer store power. That is why you can't get it to start when you turn it off. It requires an alternate power source to crank the engine until the alternator kicks in to power the ignition. Have the battery load tested with a good carbon pyle load tester.
