Restart your computer During the boot process you will see on the screen to press a certain key to enter setup usually the Delete or the F2 key Press and hold that key during the boot up process to enter BIOS the using arrow key scroll down to advanced bios features press enter change your first boot device to cd,press escape then press f10 to save to cmos to restart note this will erase you operating system you will have to have an operating system disk to load it onto you hard drive or create a partition to load another operating system (note after you have loaded the operating system you should go back and change the first boot device to your failsafe or optimized defaults) after windows has loaded your computer will automatically restart it might restart 2 times one to finish the installation the next will be because the operating system is loaded and will boot from your cd during the boot process you will see on the screen to press a certain key to enter setup Press and hold that key during the boot up process to enter BIOS using the arrow keys load failsafe defaults or load optimized defaults press escape then press f10 to save to cmos to restart otherwise it will keep booting from the cd /dvd drive Hope this helps.
Restart your laptop and at boot up to the HP Splash screen select hi F8 then select start in safe mode when ur in safe mode see if your mouse works - you may have to do an F11 full system recovery
If you have the HP Computer then the Recovery has two option one is Destructive Recovery (Data Loss) and Non - Destructive (Data Back-up). You just need to Press F11 as soon as the computer restart. Then follow the on screen instruction and choose the option accordingly.
OK with ANY Windows 64bit software you need whats called "Digitally Signed Drivers" now almost all "older" hardware does NOT have this. so to Install and Run you MUST at boot up press F8 EVERY-TIME you boot, and turn OFF Digital driver signing" at bottom or the F8 list. Also you MUST install as Administrator, & "Run" as Administrator too. You may also have to set the installer & the program's .exe to Compatibility Mode for XP SP 2. Right click the program's .exe and choose "Properties", then "Compatibility tab. Remember EVERY TIME you Boot,it must be OFF.
It could be a spyware issue. I'd suggest selecting Setup (usually F2) upon boot and see if the video displays so you can change the BIOS to boot from a CD. Then, boot from the Windows Recovery CD. Also, try F8 and choose Safe Mode to see if it will boot. Then, check back with FixYa if you need additiional help. Good luck.
press f8 after boot up ,then select option enable vga, then when it start go to control panel, un-install the display drivers, restart and reinstall them.
