Flasing red light where the on light is

need the make and model number..the red flashing may be a blink error code

My tv acted the same way. Easy answer........buy a capacitor kit!
it was my first try on desoldering and soldering and I have been watching the tube with no problem for months now!

Question shows tv is Sony KDF-60WF655.
Green light blinks when tv gets prepare to fire up lamp, check internal circuits then show picture on front screen.
Red light blinking shows some kind of internal problem during circuit check and protection got activated upon some failure.
Count the red light blink as you will see 3 second long pause and post it here to diagnose what section of tv got problem.
Did you replaced its lamp in last 2-3 years?

Does red light blink? if yes, please count blinks as there would be pause of 3 seconds between blinks and let me know to help you out.

Same problem with my Sony. Unplugging for 36 hours solved the problem

if there is not even a red light that means that the power supply is gone. find a working one of ebay and install it yourself if your warrantu is expired.

Your picture tubes are trying to short out you have 3 red, green ,blue.
