My Nokia 6300 will not charge. I get no blue lights it just wont charge. I have 2 chargers and have tried both

My phone keeps freezing, turning off, and doesn't fully charge. I can't talk on the phone or do anything for that matter whilst it's on charge without it dying. The blue light sometimes comes on and the screen fades to black. It also takes at least 5 minutes or more to fully load. Whilst it's loading the screen is all white.

I had bought a new battery when the problem first started occurring, and it continued to do the same thing by not charging and dying. So that is not my problem. My original charger was a bit bent, but I use another one now, and I have tried charging with other chargers and the same problem of not being able to touch it whilst it's charging because it will freeze occurs. Also I can't leave the keypad locked whilst charging because then it will definitely freeze. The battery never use to fully charge, it would just continue to charge and charge, but it now tells me that it's fully charged, which is a good change, but it's still got a lot of problems.
Also some of my messages are being interfered by other messages. E.g.: Towards the end of a long message, the ending of one of the other messages in my inbox will be there instead of the original ending. So if I look for the start of the interference message, the ending of the original will be there. This also happens in my drafts. It's really annoying.
It's such a shame this phone is stuffing up, I really do love it. Does anyone else know of a phone with side lights that will flash when received a message or a phone call?

Well mine doesnt charge at all. I havent replaced the battery. I have bought the phone recently and I got a bit of charge when I first used it and then it ran out of charge and I cant charge it. I have bought a new charger and made no difference. When people look at the bottom of the phone, you have a hole with gold pins in it... How many are you seeing? Anyone else had this before?

  • Anonymous Mar 18, 2009

Mines the same. All of a sudden, when I put my phone on charger, although the charging light came up, my phone wouldn't charge until it eventually died!!!

I've just bought a new battery and it isn't charging either... I've got two chargers, one is brand new and it also does the same, so its not the charger! Maybe its one of the connections, but I'm not sure how to get to the little pin at the bottom of the phone!

1. The charger may be damaged To check if the charger is damaged, use another functioning charger. The charger cable has a tiny wire that easily breaks when used without proper care. If the phone still does not charge with a functioning charger, try next step. 2. The battery may be damaged Change the battery and try charging again. If the phone still does not charge with a functioning battery, try next step. 3. The battery terminals may not connect properly with the battery connectors Check the battery connector to see if the battery and the connector connects well. The phone will indicate charging only when there?s enough power supply from the battery. click here Solution Procedure: If problem is confirmed, adjust the battery connector using tweezers to reach the battery terminal and establish connection. Or try next step. 4. The charging pin may be damaged or does not connect well with the board's interface Check the charging pins to see if they are well connected to the mother board. Sometimes the charging pins wear out or loosens from its connection with the mother board. Solution Procedure: Check if the pin is bent. Straighten the pin using tweezers. Make sure the board interface is also clean otherwise, you will need to clean it by rubbing its surface using an eraser or brushing it with a board solution. Or replace with a new charging pin. Make sure the charging pin touches with the board interface to establish connection. The CCONT IC for DCT3 or UEM for DCT4 or the "K" resister for non-Nokia models may be damaged If the phone still does not charge after adjustments are made, the problem is CCONT IC for DCT3 or UEM for DCT4 or ?K? resister for non-Nokia models.

I have had this problem with a Nokia 6230 total discharged battery. I solved it by flashing some voltage across the battery terminals.

How do I stop the battery from draining after only a few hours.

try letting the battery completely die and recharge it. Do this 2 or 3 times. Sometimes "topping up" a partially charged battery puts a memory into the battery and it wont allow you to do full charge.. I let my Nokia get to its last legs before replacing the battery with a spare and then fully charge the other one. Both batteries are now at least 6 years old.. Yes , its an old phone...

My phone keeps shutting on and off and wont charge when plugged in

Cell phone batteries have what is called a "memory" over time if they are charged without being fully drained they can start to not hold a charge. Unfortunetly the only fix for an issue like yours is to purchase a new battery. Your local retailer / service provider should have batteries in stock or they can order one for you.
It is recommended to allow the batteries to drain completely before charging, then allow at least 8 hours or more to fully charge. Most cell phone will show a full charge after a few hours, but this is more a fault with the software that check the batteries charge, then an actual indication of the battery being fully charged.

CHARGING

Seems like your phones battery is weak. Try these to increase the battery timings:
  • Let your phone to completely draw its battery, once its fully uncharged then recharge it completely and then use it. That will prolong the talk time and battery life too.
  • Lower the brightness of your phone, that will result in less consumption of battery.
  • If it does not helps then consider buying a new battery, but hopefully that wont be needed.
Thank You!

My battery went dead this morning i charged it this evening and it is just showing a battery and timer wont switch on or charge??

from what I hear, you have either fully charged your battery or your battery is pretty much completely dead.

your options:

1. If it's completely dead and won't hold a charge it's time to purchase another battery, this happens from time to time so don't freak out about it.
2. If it's fully charged, try taking the battery completely out of the phone, and re-inserting it after a few minutes, sometimes cell phones need to be reset.
3. ensure that your charger is working properly, if its not getting juice to it neither is your phone.
4. try to dial your number just to see what happens to the phone.
5. if someone else u know has a charger like yours try to borrow theirs to charge your phone possibly ruling out a bad charger

My phone wont turn on, but it will charge.

you should have recalibrate your battery, and to do that what you should do is when you first get a new battery, because that is probably what you will have to do, charge it to its full capacity and then use it until it dies completely. then charge it. you should do this at least once or twice a month to make sure that your battery is in top condition.

Sony Ericsson K770i Phone won't turn on red light apears on the top left, any suggestions?

This has happened to me twice - the first instance occurred when I'd only had the phone a few days and the second occurred today after months of trouble-free use.

On both occasions the phone wouldn't charge via the mains charger - it wouldn't switch on even when plugged in and neither the battery or the charger were warm to the touch after hours of charging, indicating that nothing was happening.

The solution for me was to connect the phone to my PC via the USB cable - nothing happened at first, the PC didn't recognise the phone and it remained lifeless. However, I left it attached to my PC and after 10-15 minutes it suddenly whirred into life.

The battery was COMPLETELY flat despite my attempts at mains charging, so I let it charge via USB for a while then transferred it to the mains charger. This time the mains charger worked.

I've no idea why, but this has worked for me twice so give it a try.
