Hi suzettemaica,
I see that you are having issue connecting your iPod to your Wireless Network.
I believe that your Wireless Network has a Network key or a Password on it for your security right, to be able to get your iPod conencted wirelessly you will need to disable the Wireless security because mobile phone do not have same security that a Wireless Router would have once you have disabled the Wireless Security of your Router then you can connect your iPod.
To get security on your Wireless you will need to enable the MAC Address filtering, this will be an alternative to a wireless security on Routers.
You mentioned you have a Belkin wireless Router, you did not mention what model but that is OK, I will try to give details as simple as I can for the wireless issue and the MAC Address Filtering.
Click on this
Link this will give you a basic on the Router settings, but first we will need to find out what your Router's Default Gateway is.
To find out your Router Default Gateway you can click on start then type CMD on the white bar and type in CMD right click on it then select run as administrator.
This should open a new window DOS to be exact, you will see C:\ with a blinking cursor and most probably you computer name after C:\ then type in ipconfig then press enter , a list should show look for default gateway .
Once you have your default gateway open up IE or any Browser that you have and type the Default gateway on the Address Bar then press enter this should Open a page of you Routers Settings.
now you can click on this Link to see what you see from your router or you can just basically use what you have from your router which is exactly where your settings will be.
LinkOh yeah for your Router I am not sure if it has a user name or a password since I did not get what Model you have, but you can try to leave the user name blank and the password blanks as well to get in which is a default with Belkin.
Look for Wireless then under should be security click on security then you will see security mode and a drop down select None to disable the password on the Router then click Apply Changes.
Now for the MAC Address you should see Filtering then below is Mac Address just click on it then it will be asking Mac Addresses of all the devices that you need to connect on the Wireless network to be able to register them in the Router for access to the Internet the Mac Address can also be found by goin into DOS and doing the IPCONFIG for you iPod you can just connect to the router with out the Mac Address filtering first then go in the Router settings you should see the Mac Address of the devices connected to the Belkin Router.
I hope that i was clear enough for this.
Have a nice day,
mvincentc
