Somewhere on the case there should be a tiny little hole with reset labelled on it and if you stick a bent paper clip in it and hold it for about 30 seconds it should reset the whole thing to factory defaults.

This can be caused by a number of issues most have to do with the router itself and not the tablet. First, let's make sure the router DHCP Server is not frozen so take the following steps: Step 1: If the router is separate from the Cable or DSL Modem, power down the router/wireless, next power down the cable/dsl modem. Power up the cable/dsl modem wait 60 seconds then power up the router/wireless wait 2 minutes Step 2: Try to connect to the wireless Step 3: If you have a modem or wireless router supplied by Comcast, Verizon, AT&T or any major carrier, contact them asking them to walk you through resetting and rebooting and updating the firmware to the router/wireless. Step 4: After the reset and update try to connect, if it fails move on Step 5: Log into the wireless/modem - let's change the wireless encryption. Go to the wireless settings, change the wireless settings to WPA Personal and add any pass-phrase. Try to connect using the new pass-phrase. Step 6: If you still can not connect, as a last resort switch the wirlesss encryption to WPA for testing. Try to connect, if this works contct the vendor and have the modem replaced.
make sure that your old setup not still on go to connect to from the start and right click on the connection and see the one that you are using is present
You need to bridge your modem first before you can use your netgear wireless router. You can reconfigure your netgear without bridging your modem and it will work, but the connection will not be as stable. You'll only need your Verizon password and username if your connection type is PPPoE. If your connection is DHCP, you don't need your username and password anymore, but you may have to ensure that your connection type inside the netgear router is set for DHCP as well. If you're a PPPoE, then you don't have to worry, even if you don't know your username and password, you can give Verizon a call and they will reset your password and give you your username after you've verified your information with them so you don't have to worry about anything. Whatever issue it is, they can help you with it. I suggest you have them bridge your modem first before using your netgear. If I know the brand and model number of your modem with verizon I can definitely give you instructions here on how to bridge your modem properly. Just let me know.
look if u wish to go for verizon service,,they will provide u with a wireless modem as well,,but if u tell them that u hav a modem then they might configure this modem only,,both ATT and verizon are DSL service providers with PPPoE connections.the only thing u need is the username and passwrd from verizon which u have to setup on the first page of the 2wire setup page,,both the connections are dhcp based.so no other connection settings change required. But when u talk with verizon make sure u tell them of the 2wire modem
Moreover verizon has wireless broadband service which is actually a express card tat u have to put into your computer and u can go online anywhere u go within ur country{it works like a mobile phone}
your Verizon AGT704WG is a gateway, meaning, it's a modem that has router functions (wireless, support for multiple pc's etc.). If you want to connect your T-Mobile wireless router, it would cause certain conflicts with your Verizon 704WG because it is also a wireless router. That's why you can't configure it.
So, if you want to connect your T-Mobile wireless router, you would have to set up your 704WG first to BRIDGE MODE. Which means you would have to disable its routing functions so that only the T-Mobile will function as your router and will not cause any conflict.
If you want to set your GT704WG to bridge mode, follow these steps.
1. Hardwire (connected using ethernet cable) your compuer to your 704WG.
2. On your Internet Explorer or Firefox, type in 192.168.1.1 (default address for your GT704WG). You will then see a verizon page which is the configuration page of your gateway (for newer modems, the background is usually red and black).
3. When prompted, enter username and password. default username is ADMIN, password is PASSWORD or if you've called Verizon tech support, password would be ADMIN (lower case).
4. Click on the MY NETWORK icon from the top bar.
5. Click NETWORK CONNECTIONS from the left navigation box.
6. Click BROADBAND CONNECTIONS (DSL)
7. Under the VC’s section, click the EDIT icon. 8. Select BRIDGE on the PROTOCOL drop down box. 9. Select ROUTED BRIDGE in the BRIDGE MODE field. 10. Click on APPLY and then click on YES to confirm reset.
You would notice that the wireless light on your gt704WG will be off. That's ok because that would indicate that your modem is in bridge mode.
Powercycle (turn off modem for 30 secs and turn it back on) your Actiontec.
since you have verizon modem wireles router.. i have the same issue with the same model...I call verizon and tell the issue...verizon accepted that modem router have problem in wireless...i know that all my computers have no issues because i maintain and built those computer by me..
then Verizon send a new and different modem router...this time it works fine...since i received it last week. call Verizon regarding the wireless issues ..tell them too that you have some dead spot on your wireless..like if you move away more than 15 feet..your wireless connection get lost..
Hi Susie With related to your particular issue it seems like that your broadband modem is not configured for the router. There are basically 2 types of connection. DSL and Cable modem. Verizon, ATT are DSL and comcast other providers give you a normal cable broadband connection. If its comcast make sure the cable from the comcast modem is going to the internet port in the linksys router and also make sure that there is a system connection the linksys router and the cable from the system goes to any of LAN 1, 2, 3 and 4 ports. Then reset your cable modem by using a pin and inserting to the reset hole in the modem. You could use the same step to reset your linksys router as well .If its a verizon or dsl connection you need to put normally your username and password in the router page. here is the link to how to configure linksys for your internet modem. Here is a video as well on it? http://in.youtube.com/watch?v=vSAXMO7aNzg http://tinyurl.com/5tqqhl
Also post the linksys router model. your ISP modem model number and also information on how many systems are wired to the router and wireless and let me know if you need more help.
problems like this usually happens in the properties of the wireless setup of your connection. last resort here is to reset your modem, but you have to reconfigure as well the settings of your modem in general. for your problem i suggest you call verizon tech support, 1800-567-6789 and say tech support on the voice prompt, they know what to do with your problem. had the same problem before and they were able to fix it, i remember they had me reset my modem.
reset the modem by removing power for a coulpe of minutes and then power it up wait a minute for the modem to reset and then try to connect to the internet
