Please check your speaker cabling first for possible short connections. if all ok, then remove the speakers (all) and try to turn on the unit. If still doing the same thing then you have busted one of your amplifier. it can be any of the amplifiers (main center surround etc...

Try pressing and holding the 'tone control' and 'info' buttons, then press power. This should unlock the protection lock. the lock is there so that the unit cannot be repeatedly turned on when there is a problem that could cause permanent damage to the circuitry.
When a head unit doesn't remember settings like yours, then the Yellow constant battery wire isn't hooked up correctly. This wire provides power to your unit constantly from the battery so that it can remember the settings and such. Your aerial not going up is the Blue power antenna wire. This wire will provide power so that when you turn your unit on, it powers the antenna to go up. Hope this helps!
Somewhere along the line you are not receiving a constant power supply to the head-unit. When you turn the key off it is cutting the power to the unit like it is being completely unplugged. Thus the reason it wont remember anything.
If it trips almost instantly then you have a serious power supply rail problem rather than just a channel down. You need a Yamaha specialist to look at it, there aren't any fuses for that.
Disconnect ALL of the speaker wires from the back. Turn it on again, if it still trips, then the unit needs to be repaired. If it does not trip with no speaker wires connected, turn it back off, connect 1 speaker at a time and turn it on, when it does trip, that speaker that you just put on has a short somewhere, it could the be the wire or in the speaker.
1. Try running the auto setup without the sub. ( is it a powered sub {the sub has its own amp on the back} or is a NON powered sub that is driven off the speaker jacks of the Yamaha receiver. )
If the sub is powered, and connected to the Amp via the RCA cable from the " sub out " jack, chances are you either have a defective sub or a gound loop.
Keep in mind that there are always two fuses in any vehicle that provide power to the radio. One fuse is for switched power, one for constant power. Both fuses need to be good before the radio will work. Often one of the fuses, especially the constant power fuse, is shared with other electrical circuits and may not be labeled as a radio fuse.
Check all the fuses in the vehicle, including any fuse box under the hood. See if any other electrical systems in the car aren't working, especially the dome light, cigarette lighter, door chime buzzer, or clock.
