Hold mode whilst on the time section.
then start/stop changes between hour and minute, adjust changes the number.
To cancle, press mode again.

To change the actual Time
Go on to the stopwatch section Hold Mode, if it shows you the alarm press mode to change to time.
The seconds should be flashing, press start/stop to change between hour minute second date, and adjust changed the number.

There are 2 batteries. When you open the back you will see a cr2025 under the black tape secured by a small screw. That's the easy one. You will notice 4 small screws on the periphery. Remove them and the white plastic piece. Be careful because there are 2 small springs under it. Next remove the round circuit board. You will see a 377 or a 626 battery that controls the analog hands.

The Benrus watch you have is not the Benrus watch that became world famous years ago. In fact, "The Benrus Watch Company" went bankrupt in the late '70s . It would be very easy to mess up the watch by trying to replace it yourself. The part you are working with is very delicate and can end up costing you much more in additional parts and repairs. The repair is easy enough that you should be able to go to a local watch maker/technician and have it be fast and inexpensive.
