If this is an lcd tv check for capacitors on the power board that have domed tops. Replace these capacitors with the same value. microfarad mf and voltage v. make sure to notice the polarity and no not us non polarized capacitor. only use electrolytic capacitor .

SOURCE: When I turn on my tv it clicks several times Samsung 52" LCD HD T

It sounds like the tuning unit maybe nearing it's end and this could be costly and a new unit maybe better and more cost effective in the long run.

Save money and time and consult with known stores that sell alot of TV units.
Ask them about their prices, warranty, polices on (out of box TV units).
I speak from experience on purchasing some of these fine units which has worked out for me in the pass.

I hope this helps.

most likely the power supply board has failed, but it could be the main board as well. call 1-800-samsung for nearest service center.

Testimonial: "I open the TV (Samsung 52" lcd full HD) up. I noticed 2 1000uf 10v caps has expanded at the top. I replaced the 2 caps (77pence each). TV now work."

SOURCE: 52" Samsung LCD will not turn on. Blue light is on

I had that problem--POWER SUPPLY. IT COST ME $300 to put in the fix kit, and now 27 days later, my screen is bad. it has verticle lines on the right side of the picture. the tech said it is a bad panel so go buy another tv!

The most likely cause is a bad power supply board, very common problem. You can call 1-800-samsung for the nearest service center.

52" Samsung LCD will not turn on. Blue light is on

Have you ssen the back light lit up? If not, the power supply may have problem. If it has back light, then the suspection are the main board, T-con and inverter. Those boards need checked to find out exact defective board.
