I am trying to foward calls to a cell phone that is a long distance call. Our system requires a long distance code. I can forward to a local number with no problem. Is there a way to program a PAUSE into the forwarded number so that the long distance code can be enterred?
Thanks
Scott
Use * for the pause.
FU for giving me inapropriate rating.
* is used for a pause.
Depending on who programmed your system you might have to place ** or ***
Your question was about pause.
FU again for your rating.
When you testing this scenario, what do you hear when calling extension that goes to a cell phone?
Also try experimenting placing a comma after the number. This might have to be done in system programming in speed dial depending on your system.
Do you have a local Nortel vendor to assist you?
In the DialOut, P stands for pause, a host system signaling option. Press
Feature 78 to insert a 1.5-second pause in the dialing string.
* is used for pulse dialing.
I can send you a manual.
Not sure what system you have though Mics Or Cics
You might want to contact Embarq for further assistance. They are the only ones that have your database built information.
Cheers, let me know about manual.
