Most likely you have bulb failure. First step in troubleshooting is "Change the Lamp or Bulb". Lightning, power line bumps and collisions with vacuum cleaners can all shorten lamp life. Rough handling in shipment can also happen without your knowledge.

+90% of all Sony LCD Rear Projector "No Picture or Intermittent Picture" faults are related to bulb failure.

If new lamp does not improve the situation, then hands-on troubleshooting by someone that has parts and knows how the unit works is the only practical remedy.

The firmware of your digital picture frame needs to be updated but since you can't do anything because after a few seconds the frame will shut down it needs to be send for repair.
