The numeric keypad functions like the numeric keypad on an external
keyboard. Each key on the keypad has multiple functions. The keypad
numbers and symbols are marked in blue on the right of the keypad keys.
To type a number or symbol, hold down <Fn> and press the desired
key.

Did the new lens come with new sockets? If not damage may have occured there that you cant see. only other possibilty is wiring damage in the rear that may be hard to see. The condition you describe is simple "backfeeding" if you look hard enough youll either find bad sockets or damaged wires close to the lens that took the hit. Hope this helped. Thanks
When booting enter the BIOS setup svreen and press the following combination
1. Alt + E
2. Alt + F
3. Alt B
this combination will rebuild the IDE configuration and clear the NVRAM. Alt + b will save the configuration.
Alternatively
1. Shut down PC and unplug Power cable from Back of Tower.
2. press the power button and Keep holding for 10 seconds. this will remove static charge from PC
3. Plug in cable and restart.
take a look on the underside of the scanner.
there may be a switch that goes from lock to unlock. try to move it to lock and back into unlock.
this lock is usually used to lock the bar from moving during shipping. if this got moved back to lock or bumped while you had it turned over, the scanner will not allow the bar to move..
try this first.
