I turned my LG Flatron W2052TQ monitor off by pressing the blue colored on switch to the amber colored sleeping mode for the night and screen becomes black. The next day, I pressed the amber colored switch back on to the blue color BUT here is what is happening. A screen comes on Showing the LG logo along with a screen saying "Analog Power saving Mode". Then, the screen goes black and the switch goes back to an amber color automatically. When it's on the amber color it means that sytem or monitor is in a sleeping mode. How can I get out of this mode.? I have tried moving the mouse around and pressing different keys and space bar on keyboard but it did not help. I have also rebooted the PC several times and connected and disconnected the PC and monitor without success. What can I do to get my monitor off the black screen and back to normal. I need help....PLEASE.

Try wiggling the Cord on the backside of the monitor.. Not the Power Plug Cord, The Other Cord that attaches to the PC. Do this once the monitor turns off , grab ahold of the cord about 2 inches from the back of the monitor, then bend the cord to the right, keep bending from the right to the left a couple times to see if your screen comes back, if it does, than you have a Loose connection and this sometimes causes the Symptoms you are receiving.. Hope it helps.

These are just suggestions, not sure if it will fix your problem (not listed in any order but only do one at a time)
1. Change BIOS battery (reset BIOS)
2. Clean out machine (dust, reseat cables, cords etc...)
3. Try removing the power cord from the monitor, hold the power on button for ten seconds then put the power cord back on
4. Try reseating the video card.
Hope this helps.

HI kissakiwi,
In the control panel's power option , you need to change the SYTEM STANDBY settings to never , and then the problem would be solved.
There are three options , turn of monitor, turn of hard disk and , system standby , if you select all of these three to 'never' then you won't have this problem.
Remember you can also change the settings via the screen saver tab when you right click and select properties on the desktop.
Let me know in case you have any queries. Hope this helps ...:)
