Hi Cat, You can try removing the data cable of your monitor, the one connecting to the back of the tower/computer. If there are no issues on the monitor, normally you will be getting the power self test which is indicated by three vertical colors on the screen (Red, BLue, Green). If you dont see the power self test, it may be a problem with the monitor. YOu may want to try using a different monitor to isolate issue if available
Change the bateries, clean the IR LED'S,both the remote, and the projector. Some kind's of functions was set for use before.it was not turn off or clear out of the memorys, that why u getting a not applicable message.
You need to manually adjust the alignment:
On
remote, press Menu to get to the main menu
Then
arrow down to "ADVANCED FEATURES"
Then
press "enter"
Then
Arrow down to "CONVERGENCE" and press "enter"
"Red
Convergence" should be highlighted
Press
"enter"
You
now have Green, Red, and Blue overlapping crosses.
If
Red is out of whack, use arrows to align
To
toggle to blue (and back to red), press "VIDEO"
Then
align blue cross
Once
the crosses look aligned, and nice and white, press "AUDIO"
This
will bring up the Advanced Convergence screen
This
is a grid of the same overlapping colors
You
have control over the Red and Blue
If
Green is very out of whack, you'll need a repairman…
While
the "target" is flashing, you can move it around the screen with the
arrows
Place
it over an intersection to adjust, then press "enter"
Now
the "target" is steady (not flashing), and you can use the arrows
move your color
When
it's aligned, press "enter" again
Now
"target is flashing, and you can go to the next square.
You
cannot adjust every intersection.
Some
areas need to be adjusted via the adjacent intersection
When
you're happy with color you're working on,
Press
"video" while target is flashing to change to the other color
Repeat
the above (blue is much harder to see and adjust for me…)
When
you're happy with the entire grid, start hitting "Menu"
Each
press brings you back out one menu level, until you are out of them
Once
you're used to the process, it should take no more than a minute or two.
Sorry time for a new monitor you might open it up and look at the capacitors and see if any need to be replaced the bad ones will be domed on top normal is completely flat
