How can I cancel the security of my router.

The color orange indicates that

the Router is not using the SecureEasySetup

feature, while the color white indicates that the

Router is using the SecureEasySetup feature.

When the Router enters SecureEasySetup

mode, the Cisco logo will turn white and

start flashing. After the Router has generated

the SSID and WPA Shared Key, the Cisco

logo will stop flashing and stay white.

So this "feature" can be turned off (meaning the light is off)

On the web-based router setup (192.168.1.1 in web browser) go to Wireless > Advanced Wireless Settings

Secure Easy Setup
This feature allows you to enable or

disable the SecureEasySetup feature. Select Disable to

disable the feature and turn off the button's light. The

feature is enabled by default.

Click the Save Settings button to apply your changes, or

click the Cancel Changes button to cancel your changes.

WAP is a security setting in your router...needs a a code, typically 10-12 characters...if you can login to your router yo;u can reset or cancell WAP...

You just need to press the reset button at back for few seconds to reset the router.

You may simply need to change the security settings on your Router - Some Printers will not support WPA2 security.

FixYa cannot cancel your Norton Security, FixYa is a separate company, you need to contact Symantec/Norton.

if you are referring to the wireless security passcode pin number , its usually written on the bottom of the router.

you might need to disconnect your modem for 30 secs then reconnect it . i have just reset my router and then the pc would show a connection but it only went to the router not through to the web.disconnect your modem reconnect then do a reconnect on the pc

Log on to your linksys router page and reset the security key to what ever you want.Just open internet explore and type 192.168.1.1 and when the sign in box appears and if you didn't set up a password Just type Admin for the user name and Admin for the password.
