since every display color monitors are only work with 3 primary color which are red, blue and yellow. You could also search it that by mixing these colors, you could get any color your want. Thats how color monitors work. Now in case of green color, it creates by mixing blue and yellow. When you are turning the screen adjustment screw, the red color plug will become lose, makes it appear green. I hope your got the reason.
Usually this happens in inkjet, when you have a mix of the colors int he cartridge. so, inkject usually have 3 colors, Blue, Yellow, Red. If yellow color finds it's way towards blue, then instead of blue, you will see green.
problem with the monitor Display cable. it is damaged.
Normally monitor will receive 3 colors red, green, Blue signals from CPU. If one cable i.e Red wire connection is missing in display cable which is connected to monitor, Red color image on monitor wil be replaced with other fade color.
So, need the replace the display cable or display connector!

Yellow is the mixture of 100% red and 100% green. what you may have here is a blue LCD failure in the machine. Try this to check. Open up PAINT and double click one of the colors on the bottom. now click add custom color. then in the RGB section put 0 for red 0 for green and 255 for blue. ok out of everything and fill the background w/ the blue. it should be a VERY intense blue, if its white or or kinda blue, you have an LCD issue
In a monitor like crt type. there are three colors amplifier. Red, Green and Blue. I think the Blue color amplifier is defective. Try check the biasing and also the transistor.
Settings

press plus or minus or to highlight an item. Press play
repeatedly to change settings.
Backlight:
• to adjust the time before the display light
turns off (On/10s/20s/30s).
• to adjust the color of the display light
(Red/Blue/Green/Yellow/Cyan/Purple/White).
