HP c6280 Won't load ink cartridges

Brand new printer with brand new ink. Keeps saying wrong cartridges and load introductory ones. I don't have any!!

  • Anonymous Mar 27, 2014

I've just received this brand new C7250 but it had everything except its "Introductory" set of 6 inks. I put in a regular set, but get the message to use "introductory" set for initialization. Many thanks

Per HP:
Hold “print photos” button and “red-eye removal” buttons together, release
ø Then press the “red-eye removal” button, release
ø Then press the “print photos” button, release
ø Then press “red-eye removal, release

ø Scroll to “resets menu”, click ok to select
ø Scroll to “Options” semi-full reset, ok

The printer then powers off and wait a couple of minutes. I believe the printer turns back on (or maybe the user needs to power back on after a few minutes). The refills then work.

Windows 7 doesn't recogize new ink cartridge on HP C6280

I would go to HP and update the C6280 printers drivers. It sounds like there is an issue with the driver. It there is not an update then I would uninstall the driver and reinstall.

I have an HP Photosmart C3180 printer color ink issue. Instead of printing yellow its printing pink. I've cleaned the head multiple times and the ink cartridge is brand new. Please advise. Thanks!

If what you're saying is still the result after cleaning everything up, there must already be something wrong with the printhead because the printheads are the one's that are responsible for the mixture of the ink cartridges.
Try calling HP Tech Support. They might still be able to replace the printheads for you.

HP C6280 says out of black ink

Something is wrong with your Blach carrier or connections. Use a bit of alcohol and clean the array of gold contacts where the Ink cartridge plugs in. Most of the pins are shutter and piezo control (get the ink on paper) but a few do other stuff like check ink level, # of hours runtime, etc. This is very common problem with inkjet printers. Hope this helps.
Also... rub the contacts on the printhead with a pencil eraser to make them shiny and bright.

Cheers!

Wrong colour cartridges

Did you try the genuine HP cartridge? Maybe you should try first the original Ink Cartridge.

Printer cartridge error....Not HP brand

you need to use a HP cartridge itself.....try that out....it will work !!!!!!!!!!!! You know why? Every HP printer and cartridge have a firmware information loaded onto their circuit ( copper circuit )and would function well only if they understand each other.... try it out.....
