Problem w/Address Book

I have had this phone for about a month. I have over 250 entries in my address book. The problem is that I have to literally scroll through the entire book to get to a number before dialing. I've tried putting the first few letter in the contacts box but it does not go to the listing associated with the letters typed. The manual says it should. I went to the store where I bought the phone, but the sales person just said that some phones don't support that feature.

The sales person is wrong the phone does support that feature. There is an internal problem and you can return the one you have for a new one under the warranty.

Samsung s8300 how do i speed dial using keyboard

Hi, I found a way to get Speed Dial on the Eternity or Ultra Touch . As follows: [most of this from Phonebook/More/Settings/1 ]

1. Copy all address book entries from Sim to Phone Memory.
2. Delete all Sim Address book entries.
3. Switch Address book source to Sim.
3. Re-enter up to 99 speed dial entries in Sim, in the exact order you want them to be assigned to speed dial.
4. Switch Address book source back to Phone Memory.
From now on all numbers on the Sim will be in Speed Dial and you will view the address book from phone memory. Of course any number can be in both places.
Now to speed dial just enter 1#, 2# etc for any number in the Sim Address book. You will get to view and confirm the entry and then dial. In a way this is even better then the speed dial functions on older Samsungs, as the preview before dialing ensures you have the right speed dial entry.
I think it works fine. dk

Im trying to find out how to update my address book in my copycenter c128

You can manually enter addresses by going to Machine Status> Tools. Add Address Book Entry and entering single entries there. Youcan also upload a .csv by browsing into the copier via the IP and going to Proprties> Services> Internet Messaging> E-mail> Public Address Book and Mapping the existing address book to your computer. It will be in a Comma Seperated Value format that can be Modified in Excel and reuploaded in the same area, but instead of mapping existing address book, Upload .CSV file to Address Book and exiting.

Private Entry

Address Book entries that are desired to be shown or hidden as Private Entry must be saved in the SIM. Saving to phone only does not offer the option.

RAZOR V3 VOICE DIALING

If you have the v3xx, it has speech recognition built in, you just press the voice dial key on the right side of the phone and say "name dial", then say the name of the address book entry you want to dial. The speech recognition matches up with your address book entries and repeats the name back to you. If you have multiple entries, it asks "which one". It's very cool and mine works very well. I was going through the same frustration you mention, looking for a way to add a "voice tag" to an address book entry like my old phone, but this is way cooler! Hope this is the fix for yours as well, good luck!
