The images are too big.

My printer is printing out images that are too big to fit on a piece of paper. A small piece of what I want to print will come out very large on a single sheet of paper. How can I scale down the size of the images I want to print so they will fit on one piece of paper?

1. Try using windows photo printing wizard
When you click on the print button on the bottom of the picture screen the Photo Printing Wizard will open

choosing the correct paper size and also selecting smaller images

2. When printing choose fit to page may have to goto file -> print

3. Use Image Resizer from right click menu (download it from here)

When I print a page, the paper appears to have been twisted and the print is off the page on bottom left

There can be many reasons for this problem. All of them are connected with paper transport. What model is your printer? Try to find some small pieces of paper inside the printer. Something stops the paper to move correctly!

does this line appear if you put the original on the big glass and make a copy? If not then when you use the document feeder you do not use the big glass, you use the small glass check the small glass for dirt etc. and clean it. DO you print to this machine are prints OK? then narrows the field down. IF the line appears using the big glass check the image unit or the fuser the hot part can open the right door open the hot part Wait to let it cool down check that neither fuser roller has a scratch or line on it. for the image unit try to print and stop the machine by open the right door to try to catch the paper before it goes thru the hot part does you line appear if so image unit is bad .

I have a problem. When I turn on my printer, the first symbol from top constantly blinks and it doesn't print anything. How can I solve this issue?

Welcome to FixYa!

If the first symbol on the top is constantly blinking as shown in the picture below, It means that a paper or a foreign object has jammed your printer.

jas247_22.gif

Jam can occur in 3 areas. Please refer to the image below.
1. Internal Areas
2. Input Trays
3. The Output Bins
jas247_23.gif

To clear the jam, turn the printer off and disconnect the power cord. Be careful not to tear the paper in case of a paper jam. If a small piece of paper remains in the printer, it could cause additional paper jam.

Let's clear out the Internal Areas first. Push the button to open the print-cartridge door, and then remove the print cartridge. To prevent damage, do not expose the print cartridge to light. Cover it with a piece of paper. Please refer to the image below.

jas247_24.gif
If jammed paper is visible, grasp it with both hands and slowly pull it out of the printer. Please refer to the image below.
jas247_25.gif
If no paper was jammed inside the print-cartridge door, open the Output Bin or the back door
of the printer. To avoid damaging the printer, do not attempt to clear a jam in the top output bin by pulling the paper straight out.
jas247_26.gif
Again, if jammed paper is visible, grasp it with both hands and slowly pull it out of the printer.
If no paper or foreign object is visible, close the back door of the printer.

Next, let's take a look at the Input Tray. (We have already taken out the print cartridge.)
Lift the Tray 1 roller cover, grasp the jammed paper or foreign object, and slowly pull it out of the printer. Please refer to the image below.
jas247_28.gif
If no jammed paper is or foreign object is visible, open Tray 2 and see if a paper is visible. Again remove it slowly with both hands. Please refer to the image below.
jas247_29.gif
Close Tray 2.
If no jammed paper is visible in the second tray area, pull down the upper media guide (we have already taken out the print cartridge). With both hands, grasp the jammed paper and slowly pull it out of the printer. Please refer to the image below.
jas247_30.gif
Close the upper media guide and return back the print cartridge. Please refer to the image below.
jas247_27.gif

These steps should clear out any jams that you are experiencing.
Connect back the power cord again and turn on your printer. You should be able to print now.

Thanks for using FixYa. Keep me posted.

Had this for less than a year and now as it prints it sometimes jams and when it does work the printed image is crooked. Seems to be picking up the paper unevenly.

There is probably a crinkled piece of paper stuck in the paper path somewhere causing an alignment issue. Open all the access panels you can and check everywhere for a small piece of paper. Check really good as this issue can be caused by a VERY small piece all folded up.

HP Deskjet 5150 print is too small

Printers try to fit web pages on a single sheet of paper. If you configure the printer, in the print dialog, not to shrink images and text to fit the paper, it will print on multiple sheets of paper, but the correct size for the images and text.

In a Word document, it depends on what font size you have selected. Most people would rather have the web page print on a single sheet, with smaller images and text than were on the monitor; than tape together multiple sheets for 100% size printout.

Printer printing very small

You are using Internet Explorer 7 and it automatically tries to fit the whole page in a sheet of paper.

Go to Page Setup and DISABLE Shrink To Fit

You might want to ENABLE the Background to print the lovely images
