LG LED TV, NO POWER BUT THE INDICATOR IS ON

Defective LED back lights strips.

Don't open up the TV. You may regret it. Unplug the set for 5 minutes....not just shut off....uplug the power plug from power source and replug after 5 minutes. It may need resetting.

RED AND GREEN LED INDICATORS This smoke alarm features separate red and green LED indicators. The LEDs indicate the following: GREEN LED CONSTANT ON - AC power is present. OFF - AC power is not present. RED LED - Can be seen through the Push-to-Test button. Blinks once a minute - Indicating presence of a working battery. Blinks once a second - Smoke alarm senses smoke and simultaneously sounds an audible alarm. Blinks once every 10 seconds - Smoke alarm is quieting an unwanted alarm (Model ADC only). (Interconnected system only): OFF - Another smoke alarm in the network has sensed smoke and is signalling this alarm.

Most common failures in these LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply C242 470uF 10V, C241 & C242 1000uF 16V, C261 & C319 680uF 35V failed as indicated in the attached picture, replace them at once.

If the power supply board is working then it is back light problem, first do a flash light test. Yor tv has problem with back lighting. This tv uses LED (Light Emitting Diodes) as back light. These back light modules are not availabe in the maket now. You have to contact the authorised servicing centre for the same. You will get an idea how it works by the help of following picture.

Now,what happening to the tv power LED light indicaton,when u turn on the tv now?Tv don't have any power LED light incation at all or power LED light indication is flashing?Check ur power source with other devices,see if the outlet is the problems,if tv still have no power to the tv all.Tv LED power light indication is flashing?Tries tv unplug,replug it back like about an hour later for the tv to do a resetting itself back to the factory setting.Now tv should work be again.Still have the same problems,this indication ur tv have a bad or a dead power supply board.That the board,where the tv power a/c cord plug into it.If u understanding basic electronic and have all the tools.Take the tv backcover aparts.Check the tv power supply board carefully for dying capacitors parts,these capacitors parts are dying or dead,most of the times they're bulging up or puffing up onto it tops.Replaces these capacitors parts with new capacitors parts with the same micro ferid but higer voltages like about 5 or 10 voltages higher for better heat resistances and last longer.Or tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole refurbish power supply board for the replacement.

Now,turn on the tv again describe what the cause now like power LED light indication flashes or no power at all or have sound no video.Tell me the current cause of the tv now,so i will tries diagnose the problems and help u to buy refurbishes boards to fix it.
