Camera screen broke- what are the steps to delete ALL of the pictures?

I dropped my camera and the screen broke so all i see is white and black cracks. I can still take pictures but my memory card is filling up fast and i cant figure out how to delete them all. i have tried turning on the camera while on the "green camera" setting and pressing "delete" and "ok" twice... and several other things. but no luck. plase if u have this camera and can walk me through it button by button, and also mention what mode its in. thatd be awesome. also, how long do i have to wait for the camera to delete all of the pictures before i check to see if they are gone? i have about 90 on right now so im thinking it should only take about 30 sec-a minute. thanks :)

Deleteing images should take only a second or two You can do this via the computer. As for the broken screen- tough- its going to cost to repair- a New camera is probably the best bet

Black Screen

Try hooking up your camera to your computer VIA USB. Power on the camera and see if your computer see's the Camera. If you do not have your cable just try and take a picture. Then pull the memory card out and see if you can see the picture you just took. If the camera still works you could try the link below. More then likely if the camera works you broke the screen.

Nikon D2X camera dropped it takes pictures intermittently.

i'd take or ship the camera to Nikon, or an authorized Nikon service center, for repair. you're unlikely to get around this problem any other way. good luck...

Hp photosmart 945 does not turn on all the way

I think the camera is not reading the battery life correctly....not sure. It indicated I still had well over half the life left. I changed the batteries and all seems to be okay at this time.

White Screen

  1. Upon startup lens emerges but when screen appears it is white whereas it normally displays whatever the lens sees. When the shutter button is pressed the camera will focus and take a white picture which can be deleted. The camera does not flash although flash is set to automatic and photo taken in a dark room. Camera flashes (weakly) with flash set to manual on. Lens is unobstructed and appears to be perfectly normal. Camera was not dropped. Batteries have been changed.

if the resulting images are the same, you have damaged the camera settings/controllers. see how they look on your computer.
if only the display on the camera is damaged, you should consider asking for a flat rate repair. most makers offer a price for major and minor repairs, and never charge beyond that.
good luck
