Lexmark x4270 smudges and garbles one - two lines per page

My Lexmark All in One prints most of a page perfectly. However one or two thin line smudges about a quarter inch long will appear on the page along with the line above the smudge unreadable like part of the line is slightly offset from itself. The misprint may be at the bottom one time and at the top or in the middle another while the rest of the page is fine. Thanks.

Unwanted colour lines on prints

It may be time for a new printer. Colored lines are often an indicator that the printhead is worn out. Dark smudges on the back of the print are likely just a need for cleaning the inside.

I have a thin white line on every page when i print fron my new lexmark x543xl....any ideas

Is it a vertical line (as the paper traces its path through the printer)
or a horizontal line (across the page) ?

> from my new Lexmark

If it really is "new", then take it back, and exercise the warranty to get it repaired/replaced at _no_ cost to you.

Printer not printing right

Try unistalling these beasts and reinstalling with original drivers, then run all the allignments, ink replacement level settings and printhead cleanings again and try to print again.
