How can I check if my new bulb is good or bad?

I have a Mitsubishi WD52525 and replaced the bulb about a month ago. The ''lamp'' light recently came on indicating the new lamp was no longer good. Inspecting the lamp, the lamp looks perfectly fine but I got a replacement anyway. I have just installed the new lamp and the red lamp indicator is still lit. Is this another bad bulb or do I have another problem?

I have held the menu and device button down and I get one blink, pause, two blinks indicating code 12, no errors. I want to know if there is a simple way to remove the lamp and test it to see if the problem is in the lamp or in the TV.

When tv is turned on got flickering picture. Checked bulb and bulb appears intact and in good condition. Bulb lights up for a second then shuts off then no picture. Any ideas? Mitsubishi wd52525 DLP

I suspect the B+ voltage on the power supply can't regulate the voltage needed for the lamps to run entirely. The B+ voltage regulator looks like a small black box with a tapered top. This is dangerous to replace so be careful. Once you get a new one installed this will fix the issue you are having.

Hope this helps :)

Recently the red light is flashing in stand by, is there a common issue with this ? WD62327

This is a common issue for DLP TV's the bulbs they have are made to last 2000-4000 life hours for Osram lamps this is the lamp the Mitsubishi usually uses so depending how old the lamp is this could be your problem I found the lamp you need for a good price

Recently my wd-52327 said it needed new bulb(steady orange light). i had replaced the bulb 7 months earlier and didn't want to see the light so i reset the lamp timer. well the bulb blew the next time i...

If you have a voltage meter you can pull the bulb out and check for continuity by placing the probes on the power plugs of the bulb. If you have continuity the bulb should be good, and it may be the lamp ballast.

3rd lamp purchased within 2 yrs

There is a slight chance that you might have an issue with a defective ballast, I mean 3 lamps in 2 years, it's too much. The best way to go here is replacing the ballast, that might solve the issue.

Mits wd52525 bulb replacement

Good Day Cawhite;
You replaced lamp and still get flashing light.
1. TV's 'ballst may be bad.
2. If lamp comes on for 2-3 seconds, the problem will most likely be the caps in the power supply. (to see lamp turn on you have to take off back or front (inner panel).
Hope this was helpful.
Good luck, Big Irish.
