Driver probem Dear sir, I have just bought a new laptop (Compaq Presario C 700) and I try to setup the drivers by mysefl. My OS is Window XP Professional and I download drivers from the HP and then I setup it but there are two driver that I cannot complete them:1. Audio Device on High Definition Audio Bus.2. SM Bus Controller So, could you please help me? I setup Windows XP And I have probem to sound (No sound ) and VGA on Compaq Presario C700 Notebooke PC

The smbus controller holds the driver for ur audio device so first try to set the smbus controller driver
if it again shows a ? mark in device driver nothing happenns just make a forced installation of ur audio driver

Presario f700 drivers
You have to download XP drivers from the manufacturer's website. This normally happens because your harware was designed for the new OS(Vista).

Just go to hp.com and search for the model of your Laptop.
