on any PC if 2010 or older the backlamps CCFL are now dead.
use flash light on screen see data turned on, bingo for dead CCFl
your PC is at least 2008 made so CCFL are dead.

Find the CMOS battery, which is a watch battery in a compartment on the bottom side of the laptop. Unplug the power, takeout the main battery and the CMOS battery. Hold the power button for 30s and then put everything back. Should clear the password, and all of the BIOS.

Press R to repair when instructed.
Press 1 or Enter to repair the C:\Windows folder.
Then type chkdsk /r and then press Enter.
The repair process will take quite a long time.
