I need to know how to get to reduced row echelon form

I am a junior in high school and need help. Everyone in my AP Calculus class has TI-89's, and nobody can help me find how to achieve reduced row echelon form. I have found the "matrix operations" but RREF is not one of my options. Can it be done with a Casio fx-9750G PLUS?

OS updates for the Casio Graphing Calculatorss are now available. This will enable the GCs to compute the Reduced Row Echelon Form (RREF) of matrices and thus enable you to solve systems of linear equations quickly, no matter the number of unknowns / equations. They will now also be able to tell whether or not a system has no solutions or infinitely many solutions from the RREF of the augmented matrix. Try updating your calculator OS from edu.casio.com.

I have the matrix selection at my main menu. Then i enter my matrix but now have no idea how to get it into row reduced echelon form....please help me?

There is no program on the calculator to perform that calculation. You may wnat to search the Casio education web site for a row reduction program. I know there is on ein the Casio Program library for the FX-9750G Plus. But that resource requires to login onto the site.

Converting between Decimal Form and Degrees, Minutes, Seconds

Enter the angle in degrees-minutes-seconds using the single-tick (') for all three parts. Do NOT use the degree and second symbols. In my TI-86 manual, it's on page 285.

I received this solution, but at the end the calculator asked me about some invalid certificate. Now the ti 89 is stuck at the boot screen because if I retry, it goes thru the whole process again and asks...

Hello,
The answer I gave you was taken verbatim from the TI FAQ and knowledge base. I copied and pasted the part relevant to you calculator.
In any case, I sent an e-mail message to [email protected], giving the link to your original question and my answer to it. I took the liberty to copy/paste your present message. I also asked about that invalid certificate.
All we can do know is wait for their reply.

I have a TI-89 that I haven't used since high school and I was wondering where I can find instructions for programming specific equations in that I need for my work

Hello,

It is my pleasure to give you the link to the manual for the TI89/TI92

http://education.ti.com/educationportal/downloadcenter/SoftwareDetail.do?website=US&tabId=2&appId=6129

I do not know what kind of work you do, but you should visit the site and Click the Download-->>Software menu. There are a lot of third party programs at www.ticalc.org (or com)
Hope it helps.

I need to know how to get to reduced row echelon form

Hello,
The matrix cell operations (row calculations, column operation) are accessed as follows:

Press [Menu] button. Highlight [MATRIX] icon and press [EXE]. The list of matrices is diplayed. If you already created the matrix, it will be listed and you can select it (using the arrows) and press [EXE].
Three menu items are displayed:
F1:R.OP (Swap, XRw,XRw->,Rw->
F2:ROW (Del, Ins, Add)
F3: COL (Del, Ins, ADD)

Matrix Operations are accessed in RUN screen by pressing [OPTN] and selecting [F2:MAT] . Availabble options ( they are commands) are
F1: Mat displays identifier Mat on screen
F2: M->L converts a matrix to a list
F3: Det Calclates the determinant
F4: Trn Calculates the transpose of a matrix
F5: Aug Augments a matrix
F6 -> accesses additional operations
F1:Iden Create an identity matrix with specified dimensions
F2:Dim
F3: Fill

In addition to the foregoing you have the matrix operations (+, -, x, square, inverse).
However there is an additional piece of software that performs the row echelon reduction on the CFX9850GBPlus. The information is available here (page 13: program ROWREDA)

The program can be downloaded from this site.

Hope it helps.

Ti85

kinda. The TI-85 programs differently, lacks a table feature, is not upgradable, has redefinable keys, has a larger screen, is smaller, energy efficient, TI-86 semi-compatible, and is older.
The TI-84+ has archive memory, flash-upgradable, FSTN (clearer) screen, 16*8 screen, USB On-The-Go compliant, almost a centimeter longer, assembly language support, and a tad bit faster.

TI-82: $89
TI-83 Plus: $79-99
Free TI-85: $0
TI-84 plus: $119.99
TI-84+SE: $129-139
TI-89 Titanium: $149
