My Kanguru DVD Burner worked fine yesterday, but today it won't do anything. What should I try?

I've only been using my new Kanguru external dvd burner for a short time & it has been working fine, but today it won't do anything. It makes noise like it's on, but when I insert a DVD it doesn't seem to do anything. It doesn't display the dvd content at all. I've tried disc that worked fine in it yesterday, but today it doesn't display anything. I was going to try burning a disc, but there is no option to burn a disc for some reason.

SOURCE: super multi dvd writer gsa-h55n

Well, since I received a solution from MAXTRIXKHAN, I just wanted to check back with NCIX.com, and here is a recap of what I did, and what they told me...

After a few tries, I had to contact LG Customer service.
I tried to burn to...

-Maxell CD-R, no problems,
-TDK DVD-RW, no problems,
-Verbatim DVD+R, Computer hangs.

Well, I bought this DVD-Writer to replace my old GSA-4167B, and LG customer service told me that this DVD-Writer does not support the Verbatim DVDs.

So, if you have plenty of Verbatim DVDs, you should forget about this writer.

Supported DVDs...
Maxell, Sony, TDK

Will have to send it back to NCIX

So beware

SOURCE: i want to burn dvd using cheetah dvd burner, when i

Might be several reasons
Take a look on front panel if it says DVD-RW use only DVD-R (RW) blanks, +RW only +R(RW), +/- or RAM both. Check the record speed your blanks might have higher speed than allowed
Also blank might be upside down
Hope that helps
Good Luck

It maybe faulty. Try it in another computer. If it still does not then it is faulty. You need a new WEBcam.

Just yesterday my desktop pc worked fine but, today when I turned it on, it would not boot up as usual. I cant even boot up in safe mode or choose a restore point, nor can I install a new OS or repair...

It sounds like you have a bad hard drive. Your best bet is to install a new hard drive and install the OS onto it, then attempt to recover any data from the old hard drive externally using an external enclosure. Note any noises from the old hard drive like clicking (it's usually very loud and consistently timed), if you do notice anything then you won't be able to recover any data without spending a lot ($600 + ) of money.

Where can i get a manual for the kanguru cd duplicator

How old is the duplicator? The company has two different manuals listed here: http://support.kanguru.com/index.php?action=file_library&folder=19 . The pdf version is for their current models: http://support.kanguru.com/download.php?FLIB=1&id=40 . A zip file contains the manuals for duplicators sold before 2009: http://support.kanguru.com/download.php?FLIB=1&id=42 . I suggest you try the manual for the older models first; the current models on the kanguru site have models numbers like U2-DVDDUPE-S1 .

I hope this helps.
