The developing assembly connector may be disconnected.

Re-onnect the connector. If problem not solved replace the toner sensor.If issue not resolved replace your DC controller PCB

I had the same problem on a IR-2230 and I had to replace the Developer Assembly. Check the connection first - have you recently had this worked on?
