VOLUME ISSUES I got this from Bid up TV to use for small time podcats, but if we are around 4 feet away it doesn't pick up hardly any volume, the connections at the back don't seem to allow a place to plug a mic into to to record the volume and the picture at the same time. Is there anything I can do or do I need a new camera? Thanks Brother G

Zenith Plasma TV model Z42pj240 ... IR issues when trying to control the volume and on-screen features. If i use a IR remote to adjust volume, the sound go up and down by itself.

That is the small board in the TV that has the inferred sensor located on the board, it may be a little hard to find though, but if you can find one it won't be expensive, most the times when sets are scrapped out that board goes in the garbage because it has a really small failure rate.

Nexus 7 will not completely turn on

The battery connector in the Nexus 7 (2012 model) is notoriously problematic. Sometimes dropping the device can cause issues that prevent the Nexus 7 from charging altogether. A hard reset may not work. Fortunately, it is quite easy to fix.

However this will void your warranty.

Pop the back of the Nexus 7 case open by pushing a credit card or guitar pick or small screwdriver under the edge of the black plastic case. Start from the top and gently pry the case open, working your way around. The back of the case will come off quite easily. The battery occupies the bulk of the left-hand side of the unit, and a group of six wires come out of the top of the battery to a connector on the circuit board. Gently push the plug out of the socket connector, wait 15 seconds, and push it back in. Snap the case back on and plug in your charger. You should now see the battery charge image appear.17d253bb-4ba9-4ee2-99ca-91507603cc78.png

If a lead pipe 1/4in.thick has an inner diameter of 1/2in.,find the number of cubic inches of lead in a pipe 10ft.long

A pipe can be seen as two cylinders, one of "air" sitting inside the other, in this case lead.
To get the volume of a pipe you thus subtract the volume of the "air" cylinder from that of the lead cylinder.
Volume of a cylinder = area of circular cross section (or pi times square of the radius) times the height (or length) => ? * r2 * h
Volume of a pipe = Volume of cylinder 1 (outer diameter) - volume of cylinder 2 (inner diameter).

In this case; Volume of outer cylinder => inner diameter 1/2" (0.5") + pipe thickness 1/4" (0.25") = 3/4" (0.75") divided by 2 to get radius = 0.375".
3.14 (?) * 0.375 * 0.375 * 120(10 feet) = 53.01438 in3

Volume of inner cylinder => inner diameter 1/2" (0.5") divided by 2 to get radius = 0.25".
3.14 (?) * 0.25 * 0.25 * 120(10 feet) = 23.56194 in3

Volume of lead in this pipe = 53.01438 - 23.56194 = 29.45244 in3

Hope this helps ;)

Low audio through tv speakers

It sounds like a connection or signal level problem, your audio system may have a greater sensitivity than your TV, has the DVD got an output volume level to adjust, some do via their remote control also some TV's have independent volume levels for their inputs within menu settings.
Looks to be phono audio so if its none of the above then you will need a small audio pre-amplifier to increase the signal level, though for my thoughts this might produce a buzz problem because an amplifier might pick up stray noises from the TV or DVD.

Amazon or ebay may help there for small units, in a metal box is best for screening, it would not require a massive pre-amp with high gain, a battery type would need to be powered by AA types for long working periods if you go that route as a PP3 will fail over extended working time.

Hope this helps........

WON'T CHANGE CHANNELS ADJUST VOLUME OR SHUT OFF

If the volume buttons work when using the Radio, then the buttons on the Remote are fine.
Now if the volume on your TV is set to MAX and you can barely hear it.
The issue lies with your TV.. ()
Now if I understand correctly or if I am to assume you are using a Reviever.
If the reciever is used for all volumes... If this is the case.
I also assume the volume on the TV Speakers is set to off
Therefore when you use the Radio/DVD the volume control is using the Reciever volume.
and when you switch to TV it uses the TV volume thus the TV volume is not gonna work as well.
2 scenarios
1 The TV volume even at max is not giving you enough power to get the low receiver volume
2 the Receiver volume is at max and barely audible.. if this is the case just manualy adjust your TV volume to get it to a decent sound level.

Hard to explain but I know the 2 issues can be fixed.
