The camera light on my blackberry pearl won't turn off and stays on constantly unless I take the battery out. Even when I check that the flash is on Off, it doesn't work. Even when I turn the phone completely off, the flash stays on. Also, once I take the battery out, the second I put it back in, it turns on again. When I'm on the video setting and I press the space bar to turn the flash on, it becomes brighter once set to on but goes back to this already super bright when set to off. I've read a couple other forums for this same problem but the only advice found was to go to the store and get technical help for it. Please and thanks for any insight or help!
I have a 9700 bold and the same thing happened. Flash stays on even when battery is removed and left out for a whole day! as soon as you put th ebattery back. Flash is back on!
Out of fusrtation i gave it a slap and the thing turned off and is now working as normal again!
If your BB has the video camera function go into it, and then into the options and check and see if the video light is set to on or off, My turns off with the video camer but your may be set to on???

Everytime i put my battery back in my camera light turns on, i have tried everything, blackberry 8100 does not haev a video camera.. i am thuinking about taking it apart myself and cleaning everything out, wiping it off and using a air soft spray can on it. is that a good idea? is it hard to put back together?
Same exact problem here. This morning the light turned on and it won't turn off unless I pull the battery out. I tried updating the firmware, but it didn't help. The weirdest thing is that when I turn on the camera app, the flash turns off, but it turns on again as soon as I close the camera. Really frustrating. All the message boards I've seen don't have a solution.
