I had the same problem My handset had all the options but the dial mode. After caller id setup it went straight to languages and then started back over with ringer volume. I have to press the star button also if I want to dial using touch tone.

Why will my uniden phones not dial out, all units will not dial out. Phone jack works, but when I try to dial, with each digit pressed I only get a dial tone. Phone will receive calls, but I cannot dial...

I have not seen this in a long time. 'Way back in
the 1970's a similar problem would occur when the
telephone company accidently reversed the 'tip and
ring' wires.

This was only a problem with the
then-new "push button" (tone) dialing, the standad
rotary dials worked fine. The fix was to reverse
the red & green station wires in the "B-block"
(on the baseboard) to undo the central office goof.

Maybe it still happens? Try reversing the red &
green wires in the modular socket you are plugging
the base ('main unit') into.

Good luck!

I have a GE cordless phone model # 26928GE2-D and would like to know how to change the setting from pulse to rotary dial

Hi,

The phone is pre-set for touch-tone use. To set to tone or pulse dialing:
1. Press and hold the Program button until you hear a beep.
2. Press the *tone button to select Tone Dialing or press #pause to select Pulse Dialing.
3. Press the Program button again. You will hear a confirmation tone.

For more details, kindly download the instruction manual by clicking this link

You'll require Adobe PDF Reader installed on your computer to view this manual. If it is not already installed on your computer, download it free from: http://get.adobe.com/reader/

Also, the manual has very small print, so kindly magnify it by using the "+" button in the Adobe PDF reader window.

Hope this solves your problem. Thanks for using FixYa
