SOURCE: We have a panasonic inverter

H95, H97, H98 or H99 mean that there's a problem with your inverter, magnetron, or digital programming circuit.

Due to the lethal voltages used and produced, I do not recommend that an inexperienced person work on these.

You can find an authorized Panasonic servicer here.

SOURCE: Magnetron replaced. Message: "refer to ops instructions." ???

If it was done by a repair place just take it back and read the riot act to them. Thats NOT acceptable. If you did it yourself, I would guess it wasn't just the magnetron, probably high power diode and other things too.

SOURCE: I have an over-the-range Panasonic microwave model

Hi, if the digital programmer circuit / controller does not get a feedback signal from the inverter for a period of 3 seconds, the controller will stop the cook cycle.
It may be a loose connection in the wiring between the inverter, magnetron, and/or control board, or maybe one of those components has failed.
If it stops at 16 seconds and is a sensor model, it probably has a defective humidity sensor.
If it stops after 7 seconds, it has a problem with the inverter.
If it stops after 22 seconds, that means the controller has detected a problem, usually a problem with the inverter, controller, magnetron, or a bad connection from one or the other.
So you have to use this as a guideline in troubleshooting and finding the exact cause of the problem, get the faulty part and replace it if and only you are technical sound and inclined.
And remember kindergarten rule #1 "If in doubt, don't" with everything that is potentially dangerous. Electricity kills so a service repair bill may be a better solution.
Due to the lethal voltages used and produced in inverters, i advice you should be very careful when trying to fix the microwave

This is not certain, but it may be a part that is expensive to replace according to this other web site for a similar model Panasonic oven. That person said their microwave was still working.

FFFF means that your display control board has an internal short. The only way to fix the problem is to replace the display control board which is no longer available. If you really wanted to fix the microwave you'd need to remove the display board and mail it to a place like Appliancetimers.com to have the part refurbished. The cost to have the part repaired is usually about $200-250 or so.

My Panosonic dimension 4 microwave has started but a "refer to user instructions before use" message up. It still works fine but do you know why it's doing this??

It should only do this after it has lost power and then regained power. Are you unplugging the device in between uses or using a surge protector/power strip switch to turn off the power between uses?
It is just a reminder to new users that they should refer to the manual. It is not reporting that there is anything amiss with the device.
