If the motor is spinning the disc, then your problem is with the laser. It either needs to be cleaned or replaced. Cleaning can be done with a regular laser lens cleaning disc, available at any store that sells electronics. A replacement lens assembly can be picked up at any store that specializes in electronics.

Yes, you should use CD inputs and should work like a champ, hope it helps..

Try a head cleaner first and if that doesnt work then look around for a new cd player or use the computer as if its what i think it is then its not reading correctly and it not really repairable ,Well financialy viable as i think the memory reading of the circuitry is questionable.

Only safe way is to take covers off to get to the player. A common problem is jamming by a label that came off OR the little belt that drives the carriage has deteriorated or failed. Only way in either case is to open the unit.

You connect POWERED speakers to the left and right outputs... You MUST use POWERED speakers or an external amplifier. This unit has a small headphone amp, but that CANNOT power passive speakers.

Are you using the correct format of discs? It requires Standard compact disc (12 cm), types CD-TEXT, CD-R, CD-RW (CD-R and CD-RW disks must be finalised before using - but even then will not always be accepted) It will not work with CD+R or CD+RW
If it will not work with ANY CD (including professionally produced CDs) then the lens may need cleaning. Purchase a CD cleaning disk (a computer CD cleaning disk will work fine) pop it in the slot and hit the play button.

The fader slider will have to be replaced. It is a bit of work, however finding the exact replacement often is hard unless you get it through the manufacturer.
