Need activation key microsoft windows vista home premium

I think this is a "Branded code".
In other word is a key code valid only for OS retailed by Acer.
If you use another media CD (i.e. OEM CD) the key is not valid.
You can only use whith a Acer restore CD.

this could be because someone took the license key that was origionally installed on your computer, did you lent it out? The same product key can not be activated on 2 computers unless it has multiple licenses. I had this problem, but i simply called microsoft and they shut down the other product key and gave me a new one for free.

If you installed Vista from a box that you recently purchased then the key is on a yellow label on the back of the pull out section. If your PC originally had Vista and the label was on the bottom of the machine then Microsoft should it with your registration.

If you've lost your product key, then there's a help, you can ask for a replacement from the Microsoft, but if it's a pirated product, i am afraid that you'll get it easily. There will be a sticker on the laptop wi the product key. It will be in the format of xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx Sometimes the sticker will be under the battery. If the sticker is not on the laptop it was either removed, or you need to make a complaint with Walmart.
